. As it always happens, the market where the iPhone X is going to be the cheapest is probably Hong Kong. In fact, the iPhone X is so expensive in India, and so cheap in Hong Kong, that you can go Hong Kong, buy the phone, and come back and yet save some money. And this includes the cost of flight ticket to Hong Kong. Just see the math.
iPhone X (256GB) in India: Rs 102,000
iPhone X (256GB) in Hong Kong: Hong Kong Dollar 9,888. This means using the current exchange rate, in Indian currency the price is Rs 80,999.
What does this mean? It is cheaper to go to Hong Kong and buy the iPhone X 256Gb variant there.

go straight to x. if money is not a problem.
otherwise stick with a 7, or get 7 now at lower price.
12 months later, will have clearer picture, whether future iphones are based on x or iphone8.
I think x is the future. 8 is the last version of this look, bezels and home buttons

I read somewhere they won't give you the fast charger(it comes with 5v1a), you have to buy it, is this true, can anyone confirm?

Got no interest in iPhone X or 8 series. Best time to buy iPhone 6S or SE. I can't believe they are selling a mobile phone for $1000.

If that screen has Dolby vision, mine also had it if they certified it. Same goes for my 2015 1080p LG OLED TV

Even now it's going below 700s and fast.
To me it's very simple. People should only upgrade or buy a new iPhone when there's a meaningful core specs jump. Like right now even if yes that A11 SoC is the latest and greatest, that's hardly a significant diff save for AR (90% of the user base won't even care too much about this). RAM count and batt capacity remains the same as 7 and 7+.
Only pay for X for its novelty 10th anniversary factor or get the 8/8+ if you're switching from Android or iPhone SE/older iPhones.

to be * is to own one now knowing that there are better phones (in terms of making it yours and performing same or better).
to upgrade for $$$ is to be * as there is not enough hdr content anyway and not a real change from what it is (i mean ishit7)

3-4 years old hardware design (look at the dimension, exactly same as iPhone 6: 138 x 67 x 7 mm), it seems like Apple hardware engineer's life is so great (easy) that they dont even bother to change a tiny bit of the hardware design (like shrinking the screen-to-body ratio?) for the last 3-4 years.

Not many would afford to take something that looks no different than years old 6 or 7, anyway. I for one, would stick to my 6s only for another 2 years (until iOS 13) OR the X goes more affordable.
