I wish Apple had released Iphone 7 with 1080p screen and duel camera. I would have upgraded to it. Iphone x looks great but that cut out at top of screen os HORRIBLE. I will hold on to iphone 6s this year too and then buy refined (hopefully no cut out on screen) next year. IOS 11 is smooth on 6s still so no issues.

TB1, 19 Sep 2017Most important for me.. how long battery last . whit such p... moreThe more powerful chip finishes tasks faster and can put the high power cores to sleep much sooner, that ensures same or better battery life. The new chip is a killer, its a safe bet to say that no android phone can match it before late 2018, and even then only for the first 45 seconds when they're cold from the freezer (ie same situation we had on android since 2013, good performance for one minute then the rest of the time its thermal throttling for its life)

"What about real-world perf... moreApple has been on top of the performance since 5s, no surprise there, but just when you thought Apples chips eventually will run out of steam they slam their new graphics cores on the table and leaves the competition in the dust even harder than previous years.
My wettest dream right now is the SE-X (yes so nice name), its the SE in an X version. If the display is good enough that is, i dont miss my Samsung devices and would have to have tinted whites from slight angles again, im not yet convinced the X display is that much better than sAMOLED, which is pretty bad, at least bad enough to steer me in wide circles around Galaxy S series phones.

Its exactly what i expected, the negativity turns to thumbs up when people get to try it. It is a lot more than ip7, its worth the upgrade, an ip7 is not like a galaxy 8 that drops 30% in price once its out the store door and then another 10% every month, an undamaged 7 is still getting good money on the second hand market, dont have to add much to get the ip8.
Im not implying that AR would be super bad on a 7 but it will not be supported by the developer tools for Apples own graphiccore, which i by the way hope will scale well and find its way to Macbook Pro to replace the very reason why i dont have a Pro: The below par AMD/ATI graphics.

It is nice for iphone users to finally get features android phones had for years, like QI and fast charging, a file manager, even custimizable control centre! (The control centre was already copyd from android in 2013). The hardware on the iphones is incredible, on the software side, they are lagging behind years, and copy another android function every year. Like blue light filters, low battery mode, raise to wake, i can go on and on.

iPhone 8 really is two times (sometimes even 4-5) faster than Note 8 in real life use.
It's hard to understand how slow those Android phones really are
