Another ruined brand to mess it up again
Thanks google

mihaidenis, 20 Sep 2017No they need no patent from HTC. They just need the facili... moreApple Makes the most money of any smartphone manufacturer and no one can beat that and if Google only was worried about the manufacturing and not the patents why would they Not go the apple way by leasing it to third party manufacturers like foxconn

THE HTC DEAL FOR GOOGLE IS ALL ABOUT PATENTS JUST LIKE MOTOROLA

FOR MANUFACTURING THIRD PARTY MANUFATURERS ARE BETTER AS THE PROFIT RATIO IS INSANE and the OEM doesn't have to bear any of the labour costs and manufacturing taxes

ALSO YOUR ARGUMENT REGARDING THE MANUFACTURING FACILTIES MAKES NO SENSE AS Motorola had manufacturing facilities as good as HTC or even better so why did google move it on

Google is a profit making machine and anything that doesn't will be moved on

Also China is a much cheaper country to manufacture than Taiwan

      They just need the facilities.
To get the price down of manufacturing.
So they can get more royalties Apple style.
They bought Motorola for keep the patents in US.
      Just for that.
Now they can start making phones in house.
      Asking same price as Apple.
So who will be the money maker?
      Google or Apple?

Collaboration for a better competition, this is what we want!
But LG-HTC-Sony collaboration is my dream, as each of them deliver some of the best things that smartphone users really want, from top notch cameras, to every single aspect of a device they all deliver, and when each of their innovation power would work together as one, they can turn the world heads and believe that Apple & Samsung are no longer the reigning champ in mobile devices.

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Apple or Samsung, but I wanna say to all people that there are lots of other brands than Samsung and Apple that offers exceptional quality products that they will likely like more than any products of the two brands.

Qualcomm seem to have their own agenda and not really wanting to put their best chip forward, either that or they can't :P and no one is benefiting from it but themselves since most phone companies don't really have a choice but to buy from them.

            Android One?

And here you go the end for HTC phone division, it was a time anyway, its not like they was making grate phones for affordable price, no one will miss them, hope Google will use well them to build grate pixel phones

It will be sold to a Chinese OEM once Google gets all the patents it wants similar to what it did with Motorola

Google is more interested in the the patents royalties rather than Owning a OEM hardware division .
