"Exclusive UI" have proven themselves time and time again to be very very slow to upgrade and maintain, and overall not very impressive.
2) pOLED and SAMOLED are identical. They both use an Active Matrix sublayer, so both OLED panels can achieve a "infinite contrast". I don't know where you got your misinformation from.
3) I get it, I prefer 5.7inch screens. However, 5.2 inches seems to be good enough for me, so it will be good enough for you. And that size seems to be the most preferred size by the general public which have smaller hands.
4) Smaller bezels AND 16:9 AND front speakers = winning
5) I agree, but its possible to stop bootloops with the power button and implementing the kernel/bootloader properly (ahem LG G3). The sealed backplate is the norm now, and I've grown to not hate it, you will too. It does help with water proofing.
6) Try it. Its a very good design choice. I propose having different textures on the buttons to give that tactile-feedback in the dark.
7) Fingerprint reader to remain in back, until Qualcomm's under-display fingerprint scanner is cheap enough and mass produceable (ie/ 2018).
8) Yes, for phones priced under $300 where they come with less storage and slower eMMC storage. More expensive phones >$500 should come with the USF 2.0 storage and come with plenty of it (64GB or 128GB's)... no need for the slow microSD for the majority

I stated my opinion/facts after first-hand seeing a Galaxy S5 die from internal water damage by a drop in the toilet. Granted, I wouldn't want to use a toilet-laden phone, but it is what it is.
The S5 cannot handle a swim in a pool, let alone a murky riverbed.
The S7, S8, LG G6, and iPhone 7 can.
The MIL-STD means nothing special. And not all IP67 devices are equal, as the definition for IP67 and IP68 differ from one manufacturer to another.
With that said, the S5 is actually water resistant, however it is not as water resistant as today's devices. I suspect it is because of a combination of the water resistant proofing around the buttons, ports, and the font glass of new devices. The S5 didn't have that. And the S5 also had a removable backplate which wasn't protected. You can test these claims out yourself if you wish, although it won't be cheap.
If you want something MORE water resistant/proof... you need a design similar to the iPhone 7 and actually coat the internal electrical components with a super-hydrophobic substance, and perhaps design a drain reservoir for anything that could make its way inside. Such a phone hasn't been done yet, to my knowledge, but it is possible yet expensive.

2. P-OLED diesn't offer infinte contrast. There's no pure black. So SAMOLED all the way.
3. Personally, I can't type properly on any phone smaller than 5.5. And 1080p is ok. But HDR is a must.
4. I never cared about smaller bezels. Just keep the aspect ration a 16:9
5. Removable battery for phone longitivty and ease of escaping from bootloop.
6. I prefer not to confuse my volume button with the power button. So on different sides.
7. I prefer the fingerprint sensor to be on the front.
8. Memory card slot for cheaper storage expansion.
Rest of the specs are ok, though.

But as a person who has been following the history of water-resistant phones for a long time, and as a person who has tested the Galaxy S5 in seawater and seen it live to tell the tale, you are wrong about the S5 on all other fronts. First of all, circa 2014, there were very few flagships that were water-resistant.
Around 2013, only Sony was the major smartphone maker that made water-resistant flagships. It's Xperia Z had flaps on all ports (SIM, microSD, USB and 3.5mm headphone jack), and it had a non-removable battery. Yet it had an impressive for it's time IP57 rating.

As you can see, the technology for waterproofing an open port hadn't made it to mainstream smartphones in early 2013.
Then Sony released the Z1 in 2013 and the Z2, which bumped up rating to IP58. And now the 3.5 mm headphone jack was exposed too, although the other ports were still covered.

And then came the awesome S5 in 2014, which was pretty unique. Not only was it's 3.5 mm headphone jack uncovered, it features an IP67 rating. In early 2014. That too with a removable battery. And thanks to that design it could also support Dual SIM and a dedicated SD card without need for any additional exposed ports on the frame. To many, this was outstanding, especially for it's time. Mind you, even today's iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X and the HTC U11 have the same IP67 of the S5. And all of them don't have removable batteries nor the 3.5 mm headphone jack.

It was only in 2015, with the Sony Xperia Z3+, that a flagship could boast of a water-resistant and exposed flap-less USB port. By now, many phones like the S7, S8, Note8, V30, G6 etc. have IP68 and flap-less USB port.
So your comment that "Even sealed, it [The S5] offered very little ingress protection compared to today's IP68 devices" is pretty invalid.
Also I know, if someone tries, they can easily make an IP68 MIL-STD rated device with removable battery and flap-less ports, to improve upon the S5, that was released three and a half years ago.

You sound like an apple isheep talking like airpods are the first Bluetooth headsets without a wire between them. Look up Brogi headphones or the much more popular Samsung Gear X. Both were way before airpods and look better.

i use SHAREit app to transfer file between android phones or android to windows laptop. easy for most ppl, it uses wifi to transfer file, so it is quite fast for most things.
i bet there is another app that can do the same but i only use SHAREit.

... Because it hardly works. Yesterday I transferred a bunch of photo's to some friend's galaxy tab s. It worked great between my honor 8 and his samsung device (using wifi direct). Then I tried the same to another friend who has an Acer Z530 or something, and it just wouldn't work. Sending the pics over Bluetooth was crazy (total size about 90MB). Luckily I am tech-savvy and knew how to setup an FTP-server, but that is way too complicated for a noob.

No it was much better than the internet crap of today. Especially in non-english parts of the world. You could at least train your phone to recognise particular words. IMHO a smart phone should first search on the phone locally and THEN on the internet! But all these AI's first go to the net wasting my precious datavolume :-(

Wireless charging makes sense. Taking the headphone jack out is stupid.
