Sorry to break it you you, but fingerprint sensors uses wires beneath your phone, as well as Face ID, so nothing's truly wireless yet when it comes to biometrics

What??? Using FaceID is considered wireless? Wireless biometric authentication? Isnt there always no wire involved in fingerprint sensor? What the point of this article? It looks unfinished. Clockwise about wireless. But its very very short article explaning not much history of wireless. What is this?? The content is not even helpful or informative. Uselessly talking about voice assistants. Most topic involving Apple going wireless just because of the new iphone. Seriously? What is this? The only wireless topic you cover is headphone, bluetooth, NFC, infrared & miracast. Where the history? Where the example of past devices using them? Where the sample pictures of the devices? Where the elaboration? And that wireless biometric thing i dont get it at all what you trying to say there.

Personally I like it. My phone usually never drops below 80% because with a couple of well placed stations, charging is always convenient.

The perfect phone should have all options (both wired and wireless).
Hence it should also support Bluetooth 5.0 aptX streaming with USB-type C and 3.5 mm headphone jack wired support too.
It should have support for fast wired and wireless charging.
It should have wired TV Out (with HDMI) as well as support for Miracast as Screen Mirroring/Cast.
Similarly it should have FM Radio and Infrared Blaster, while Internet radio and Alexa support are simply a download away.
(And going slightly off topic) it should have a large removable 5000 mAh battery and still be waterproof (Galaxy S5 achieved it in early 2014).
It should have 8 GB RAM and 512GB internal storage while still offering support for Dual Sim and dedicated SD card slot.

I don't understand how is it wireless charging and it needs to be in contact with the adapter?? and how is it innovation if you can't hold your smartphone and use it while charging same how you do it with cable??

the ditching of the 3.5mm jack has nothing to do with innovation (as Apple claimed lol) bluetooth / NFC connectivity is already there since many years ago... Apple didn't find a room for this haptic feedback Chip, so they sacrificed the 3.5mm, and then fooled their iS H E E P S by their innovation claim... and some other sheeps manufacturers just followed Apple... it's good to have a wireless connectivity, thou it wouldn't be as reliable as the wired one in term of speed, frequency, and clarity, no matter the innovation's level at.

I'm also sure someone will come with wireless(AR) phone, which you will see just as virtual device with all processing and functions being done over internet. (like HP elitex3 has done with windows,...but better)

Truly wireless charging, like free charge of devices on street and from one device to another. Meaning battery free phones, no time limit for wearables usage. ...stream data 24/7, having location and other sensors turned on. This would greatly help AR glasses.

Wireless charging is useless until it can charge phone from a distance about 30inches should be good but 15 inches is ok

I think TouchID was already wireless, as it didn't require a wire..
And I don't care that much about the next thing going wireless, maybe charging over distance. But it is more important that those wireless things already available get cheaper, are implemented in more products, work more reliable and finally reach the masses instead of being a niche for geeks

Apple this, Apple that, but as a matter of fact Samsung had these "extreme" earphones before Apple, and Onkyo was first ever if I'm correct. So as usual, Apple is chasing innovation made by others, not so innovative as gsmarena makes it to be.
