I have had 3 different HTC Sensations in the last five months because they all had been easily hacked by these Michigan Real Estate thieves. I say thieves because they sure aren't professionals. Anyway, they easily hacks the Sensation either through the thethering /syc, over WiFi. Because I hear them on my phone while it is waiting to ring when I make A phone call and these a holes boldly let me know they are on my phone as though I can't do anything about it. Please some suggestions because T mobile is no help and the little signal I occationally get they block it also. But I am going to call HTC for a new back cover.

I can't tell if its death grip or not, but the signal in general is truly appalling.

Had my sensation for months, running CM7 w/Tiamat kernel and this is hands down the most amazing device i have had the pleasure of owning. I cannot reproduce the signal loss mentioned at all. I do everything from this "phone", if you can still call it that with all the functions included, I cant see ant reason to even think about another device.

I have also experienced this major deficiency. Most notably, when I cover the 4G antenna, my connection is either downgraded to 2G, or I lose reception altogether. I also get really bad reception when using my Bluetooth headset or when attempting to make WiFi calls when the handset is placed on a flat surface.
HTC, what the hell!! Learn how to test your devices!

I live in Queens, New York where the service for my T-Mobile Sensation 4g is great. The 4g is always on and working well, therefore, I rarely turn WiFi on. I bought the sensation 4g the day it came out in June and went without a case until recently in August. I bought a rubberized hardcase that has holes where the antenas are Located on the phone and I've yet to have a problem. I've had plenty of smart phones, BlackBerry, iPhone, this is by far the greatest, fastest phone I've ever owned.

I have had the sensations since day one. As a matter of fact I'm in landscape mode as I type. I have held the phone many different ways, none of which are in the user guide for "proper" holds and have never had connectivity issues. My only problems lies within the swipe functionality and its method of determining which word it is that I am attempting to spell. One last thing that can't go unnoticed is the new trend of putting the lock/unlock button on the top right side of the phone. A majority of the people in the world are right handed and as being such most likely hold the in one hand, their right. Wouldn't it make more sense to put the button on the upper left side of the phone where it could easily be reached while being held with one hand. I also have to note that phones are getting larger and soon will require two hands just to operate, but if that keeps up what will become of all the tablets? Anyways food for thought.

I had this problem last night whilst holding in landscape, the problem doesnt appear to happen or at least be as noticable in portrait mode.

on another hand I am about to buy the sensation and I have a few questions to ask, maybe you guys can help me with that..
1 If I use skype video or regular call, usinf the phone's internet connection or while running a wifi connection somewhere, does it run down my data and/or my plan's minutes?
2 Can I use my phone in europe without roaming if I connect to a wifi connection out there or is it gonna cost me a fortune?
3 Will the sensation work in europe if I buy a sim card and contract (temp) out there and just put that new sim card in?
Thank's for help!

This is no problem for me. I use wifi and Atlanta area has strong 4g. This is the absolute current king of phones. So the guy that said he went back to a lower end phone has issues.

This death grip is really mattering me a lot...!! its very frustrating to use the phone in a certain way and use. i had the same issue with n8. this problem is mainly because of its metal body and design. so i quit using sensation n now using lo end android.. lg optimus one. my opinion is really bad about this phone.

I can watch the signal Drop in and out as I move my hand. both WiFi And phone signal are dramatically affected. I am talking to HTC and my phone carrier to find a fix.
