I want to remind the readers that when Xperia XP scored 88 in DXOmark this site did not mention this totally, now they are happy in this score, they highlighted it.
Still the excellence of Sony brights and will continue, haters enjoy your hate.

            The title should better read:
"Unlike Apple, Sony didn't pay enough to DxO, so their XZ Premium only scored a 83."

Not a Sony fan boy, but if you take a look at the image quality on this site, it becomes quite apparent which camera is the best: it's not the camera of the maker who paid most, as with DxO.

AnonD-519805, 23 Sep 2017Cause they have a camera division and want to sell their po... moreIndeed, though regular point-and-shoot cameras shouldn't be that threatened by the smartphone market, they just need to re-target their products. Optical zoom is the key differentiating factor, smartphones can't really have moving lenses without taking too much space (or adding too much bulk). Sure, we now have a fixed telephoto lense (in some phones), but that's really far from being able to optically zoom with all decimals from 1.0x-15.x. Today's point-and-shoot cameras can do that easily!

Sensor size is also a concern.

Bokeh and zoom should not be part of scoring cameras since they are not standard features.
Daylight photos and low light photos should be the basis of the scoring.

I dont even seen any official camera test side expand the Zoom and the Bokeh into the score comparison. I only know the Macro mode, indoors, indoor portrait, landscapes, flash on/off, night shot... never knows the Bokeh has become important than indoors or indoor portraits.

Dxomark why not count in the beauty effects, grayscale photography, long exposure... make Huawei happy?

You don't need DxO data for this. Those pathetic low light samples speak for themselves.
