Google decides to give the Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X two more months of security updates

    Such expensive phones and only 2 years of Support, that's Not gonna get you anywhere Google, you need to make cheap phones with top level specs and provide minimum of 3 years of support for updates and patches. Thanks

        And that's why I always give thumbs up to windows and IOS for the support they always give their devices for even more than 5 years! I don't know when will google ever support their devices for even more then 5 years.

                      Xperia z get major update 2.5 years 4.1.2-5.1.1, tgus what I call service.
                      Iphone 5 from 2012-juat end now because not unsupport 64bit architecture.

Read beyond the title, the article explains they're adding an additional 2 months of updates on top of the originally planned update schedule, which is great news.

                                  This is horrible news.
                                  I would've expected another year. I guess Google truly isn't much better than the OEMs in supporting their devices, and expects people to upgrade devices every 2 years.

                                  Let's see how Samsung updates the Galaxy S6, Note 5, and Galaxy S7......
                                  .....I wonder if the end-support will be better than Google's ?

                                    ...A good guess is that they have found bad flaws that they din not iron out in time for the October patch, and thus schedule it for the November patch. - But nice no matter why of course. :)
