All the people who think apple is a copy cat, just relax. First of all there are 10s of different OS's out there. It's hard to make something up with out a bit coping of others. Second apple did invent a few things that Google and your beloved Samsung, HTC, etc... did stole from apple. Like capacitive touch screen with multi touch, pinch to zoom, app store, and some other stuff. Yo android fans are just looking for something to hate about apple, well hate all you want iOS is the best OS, maybe not now but with iOS 5 i think it will be the best OS so far.

I wonder whether apple would improve their planned iphone5 due to the delays in its launch...
apple planned to release the iphone5 in july, and it having certain specifications. but because of the diseaster at japan, apple had to delay the launch by several months. but the competition is not delayed - so in order to keep the iphone5 competitive at the time of its release, apple needs to improve its original planned specification. but this creates a big "mess" in their way of designing the device...
so it is very interesting to find out whether apple would succeed in making changes to their original plan, and release a better device than planned...

Ok I see a lot of ppl criticizing the iOS 5 update.
So whats the big deal if the notification system has been used by apple which is leaf from google's andriod book.
I would like to remind andriod supporters about similar leaves being taken from iOS:
1)why does andriod OS has to use pinch zoom and double tapping zoom when it was first implemented by apple on iPhone? Coz its cool!! Obviously it is.
2)why has the ipod CoverFlow(Album view in landscape mode of ipod) been used in android OS music players too? Again same reason.
3)Original iPhone was the first mobile phone to use a multi-touch interface. Why does android phones use it now?
4)The first mobile OS to have online app store was iOS. Why did google open its own andriod app store?
5)the original iphone featuring iOS was the only phone to bring unique and intuitive touch-screen interface for surfing the web, scrolling through pictures and music, and making calls, sending text messages and emails. Android was released a year later in sept 2008. Why did andriod use all these features? There can more comparisions. So hope I m clear about the 'Copy Cat' factor!!
But guys its about PREFERENCE!! I don't hate Andriod. But I like using iPhone(iOS). So updates are meant to make user interface easier. So what if one leaf of google's book was used. The apple customer at other end gets the advantage. Chillax and enjoy ur droids and let d apple users enjoy iOS 5. Remember - no OS is perfect!! Peaceout.

AnonD-1825, 06 Jun 2011You should check iCloud, i think it's the biggest thing tod... moreiCloud is nothing more than Android Intents (the rest Google already does in the cloud...like Google docs for example). And Google does some way cooler stuff with Android Intents.
Other things iOS5 copies:
-Lockscreen notification from Samsung Touchwiz UI.
-Notification bar from Android.
-Split Keyboard from Windows 8.
-My apps tab from Android Market.
-Camera button functionality from Windows Phone.
Not to say that Apple incorporating this stuff is wrong. The best ideas should be copied because the improve the user experience for all. But let's not pretend that this is really innovative.

AnonD-7563, 07 Jun 2011Here is a quick message for all those who are saying thank ... morei Dont think so, there isn't any heavy task in iOS5 which could make iphone 3gs run slow. Iphone 3g has them. I think 3gs is going to run that iOS5 smoothly like it does with iOS4.

AnonD-7563, 07 Jun 2011Here is a quick message for all those who are saying thank ... moreYep is right.
Same to all devices..
Nokia Kills 5xxx N8x N9x and many other with Symbian 3, CFW's are not of my taste...
Android Kills excellent phones like MB200, MB300, Old xperias and Samsung's among many others!! without the Gingerbread upgrade (some others didn't make it from 1.6/2.1) :(
Again putting coocked Firmwares is not my way, I discover 3 or 5 that has malware installed that send info to other sites once you are surfing, so, I don't thrust Custom Firmwares anymore and they was downloaded from XDA and writting a claim and show those guys the malware installed cost me been banned .. :(
And is the nature of the beast, no one supports anymore older devices from more than...3 years hehehe OLDER DEVICES.../sarcasm

Here is a quick message for all those who are saying thank u to Apple for supporting 3GS,
Apple is giving iOS5 on 3GS to Kill that device and force u to get iPhone 5 or at least iPhone 4 in the same manner as they did with iPhone 3G owners by putting iOS4 on it, so i think 3GS is also gonna die like 3G

This is great peeps, so you all say that apple copied android? Apple is a product that gives you the best of everything, they saw android notifications and stuff was great so they took it, they realised that blackberry messenger was great, so they credted there own. Now why would anyone be mad about that? after all..if they work, wouldnt you want it in your product that your selling..If theres no patent on it> well there is your answer, Apple has created a masterpiece.

I think it's a decent update, considering they don't come so often as Symbian or Android. iOS is a still a joy to use.
And it is good that Apple still release an update for the two year old 3GS. Not many companies do that these days. Yes, I'm looking at you Samsung.

AnonD-10280, 06 Jun 2011Lol! Press the up volume key to take a photo. I swear i'm g... moreUm why? It's a good idea it's just ironic apple banned a developer from doing it. Overall iOS 5 is ok. Notifications, photo and camera changes, wireless sync, tabbed browsing and imessage all look good not revolutionary. Icloid could be awesome. Why twitter but no face book integration. Where are the widgets? (meassages weather and stock on lock screen don't count... It's a start). Overall it's an improvement bringing closer to android but still behind in some aspects.
