This is bar-none the best phone on the market today and it should easily win most major awards out there.

Us, 30 Sep 2017Samsung is the best.I agreed, totally. Note series is truly unique in its own way. It should be the only mobile phone that companies give to their executives and managers.

AnonD-702955, 30 Sep 2017Is anyone surprised by this? Watch it win more awards. Yes most of us. It is basically Note 7 with less battery and upgraded price. In 1 year they achieved almost nothing. That is very surprising ... Samsung phones used to be leaps and bounds better than the last . Apple phones still are (see iphone x vs iphone 7...)

On what basis is this declared gadget of the year when in an Indian perspective it has been out for less than 2 weeks. Having used the entire range of Note phones from Note 1 onwards (odd series only) and having been bitten by the Note 7 incident, I would exercise caution. The Note 7 battery incidents started showing up 2 - 3 weeks after their launch. Manufacturers these days cut corners to increase their margins substantially when the device is new. Compare Note 8 to the Huawei Mate series. Same size of phone, same thickness but Huawei can slot in 1000 MAH more in battery. Due diligence is now needed by smartphone users rather than blind faith going forward. Just a thought.

AnonD-625430, 29 Sep 2017Well.. Samsung's Note series has no competition in the mark... moreIt does have competition. Older Notes.
For example Note 7 had better battery and aspect ratio that Note 8 ... unfortunately it went out of circulation due to a few bad units... Steps back should be punished, fortunately they do by the users ... now if only those silly awards were not as arbirtary...

It is probabl the worst note ever. It improves almost nothing to its predecessor. It even takes steps back in battery and aspect ratio... Sometimes people vote blindly..

Well.. Samsung's Note series has no competition in the market. It's in a different league of its own. This is what exclusivity can do for you. I hope Samsung figures out a way to include the fingerprint sensor under the display on the successors of their 2017's flagships.

AnonD-80334, 29 Sep 2017It says, 'India mobile congress', not many are going to buy... moreX is launching on 3rd November of this year in India and I don't think the sales will be that bad in India despite the base model costing almost $1400. Anyone whose income is over $1000/month should be able to buy it on installment with little to no trouble (though not sure if installment scheme will be available at launch).
As for the Note 8 your right, it will most likely sell more than iPhone X even at full price.
