AnonD-244086, 29 Sep 2017Iphone X rules m8 not even SD 835 cant beat itIt says, 'India mobile congress', not many are going to buy iFruit X there, not to mention it probably won't launch there before 2018 considering supply constraints, more importantly it's gonna cost 33% more there than Note 8 at current price, and by the time it launches the price gap would widen even more as samsung might give a price cut by then, wonder how many would have even bought Note 8 at its current price but still it's gonna be whole lot more than iFruit X.

This year there are many phones that deserves phone of the year award. Be it note 8, S8+, V30, U11 and even XZ premium; whichever wins I wouldn't be surprised because they all are pretty good.
And there is iPhone X as well running for the award which is as good as S8 and V30 if not better. Though that cutout is a disaster and it shouldn't win phone of the year award based on it and no Fingerprint scanner.

While the Samsung 2017 mobile family is capable of only 4k@30fps or 1080p@60 maximum ...LOL what a joke

Note7 owner, 29 Sep 2017If the X was already released Note 8 wouldn’t have won. What makes it special? The technology used for faceid is already used in xbox. Bezels are thicker than other bezelless phones. Camera is good. Nothing special about the screen, it's flat but has a notch at the top.

But I don't think N8 bought anything new either.

Okay, it is absolutely obvious that a huge part why the Note 8 got the prize, is because of the adaptation of Bixby to the unique Indian English accent/s, etc. But having said that, overall the Note 8 really deserves some compliments, or something like that. Although I (& everyone else) have to live another 6 months (hopefully just 6) again with the absolute uncomfortable fingerprint location (mostly), instead of the in-screen-fingerprint scanner tech (awaited), and not even ordinary back centered (at least), such as the one of the V30 & all the others. Plus, the lack of dual stereo speakers & other things (such as a bigger battery, etc).

But again, let's hope that at least eventually we'll experience all these improvements, upgrades/innovations, etc., already within 6 months with the S9 (& not until the next Note 9). And plus other little tweaks but quite significant as well, such as: front 4K rec from QHD, main 4K 60fps and so on. Waiting.
