I personally dont understand why they dont add a fasr reader for the SD cards inside the phones , they do exist but i guess they want to cut cost .

Once they add 200MB/s minimum SD card reader inside mobile phones I will never bother with SD cards at all and I will just buy huge internal storage.

You can store media till 64-256GB in the phone even if reading is slow but what about phones with only internal, half or more space will be taken OS, software and your apps where is the space for photos, videos, files etc?

      I've only ever owned Sony phones and the bezels have never been unwieldy to me. I have even gone as far as disassembling the last two I've owned and I found that the space under the bezels were filled with components like the cameras, speakers, vibration motor, etc.
      So, in my opinion, the extra centimetre above and below indeed serve a purpose so people should stop complaining.

        IronHeart8, 05 Oct 2017Agree, SD card is must for any phone flagship or notnot with Android... you cant install apps on SD card that easy. and the SD card reader they use inside the phones are slow VERY slow , 30% the speed of the internal ones . even if you use the fastest SD card , the card reader inside will not use it , they put dirt cheap rad readers not the fastest ones... for example , insert a 200MB/s SD in any phone , the card reader will read around 90MB/s MAX.

                      The European price of 799€ is nothing but street robbery, it's 140€ more than it should be.
                      European consumers are shamelessly ripped off here.
                      But that's sadly the norm for fat US companies. Apple e. g. is even worse: the difference, and thus the rip-off, is even bigger.

                        what is the point of 850$ for a phone while we have better look better screen and sake specs from galaxy s8+ for 200$ less... i dont get the point spend a 100 more for galaxy note 8 with spen with it why to huy this ugly + same spec phone and yeah 750 usd for v30 is also a big option there

                                        If as you say people should just go for function over looks, Is that why everyone drives around in the cheapest ugliest car? No exactly !

                                        You also forgot to mention that for your flagships money it doesnt have SD card expansion! It also lacks the pretty much 2017 standard 6GB ram .

                                        Before you say that theres plenty of cloud storage so no need for SD cards, Those of us that dont trust online storage prefer the SD cards option thanks .
