Radu, 04 Oct 2017No headphone jack. I hate when people say no headphone jack. No 3.5mm headphone jack but there is a USB type C headphone connection. So both allow you to listern to music the USB has better quality.

Freaking screw you google, wasted 1h30 of my life wasting their stream to learn this wouldn't be released in my country despite the opening video containing my language and that crappy home being release here when 95% of the population does not have connected homes, but we all have smartphone!! Screw you google.

I am not an Apple fanboy(I am more like hater) but after this announcement i think that Iphone 8/8 Plus is much better phone to buy... Sorry Google but this phone is bullsh*t!

The S8 portrait mode called "selective focus" actually works extremely well despite many reviews saying otherwise, i own it and the portrait mode is excellent but the iPhone's portrait is visibly better when it comes to the blur but only the blur! The S8 selective focus also works perfectly in the selfie camera, the rear camera can shot RAW like a professional camera so you are not limited to the standard JPEG produced or the the built-in filters. And it will shoot RAW and JPEG at once! So you have a produced picture ready and a RAW one to make whatever you want out of it. We can praise other things but the big win of Google Pixel is the deep Depth of Field that you can't find in any other smartphone's camera. And what kills all smartphone cameras are the wide angle lenses, it is alright to take pictures of fields but horrible for people and objects. People simply get deformed with those lenses. They should use 35mm which is not ideal in both situations but in the middle of a wide angle and a portrait lens providing good images in both cases.

But for video the other OEMs do not have their EIS as good as SteadyShot.

This is actually very good. OLED display with always-on, water resistance, stereo speakers, fast charging, great camera, unlimited storage... not much to complain about. No silly design experiments. If the Google gimmicks can be turned off, great phone (also, it comes in all black too). Well done.

The Pixel XL 2 is amazing. Yes, it still has the 3.5 mm headphone jack (*sigh of relief*).
STB ratio of 77% is pretty good enough even if it is not upto V30 & Note8 levels. I guess it's because of the squeezable edges. Thank goodness, the battery capacity stays the same (learn, Xiaomi).
It's not mentioned here but DxOmark has given the Pixel 2 a rating of 98. It's still very highly fishy when they publish their "rigorous test", just minutes after the phone is unvieled. Still it now has a Dual-Pixel sensor according to DxO & judging by the performance of the original Pixel, this might well be the new king of photography. An enticing shootout with the Note8, V30, iPhone X, 8 Plus, Mate 10, U11 & the S8+ awaits.
As for the Pixel 2, I could forgive the 68% STB ratio in 2017, but I can't forgive it's lack of a 3.5 mm headphone jack. HTC, don't shoot yourself in the foot......

I sure hope that LG would utilize such front stereo speakers in their upcoming G7!
