HTC Should beware of ruffling the feathers of a respected website like Gsmarena.I have always found that it is better to own the fault and promise an immediate fix. That would at least put them in a slightly better PR light. Flat denying it and just (and only just) barely avoiding calling Gsmarena biased liars isn't the way to go. I was considering the Sensation or the GS2, but I think it best to avoid HTC for the near future. Just by the way, I presently use a desireZ. What was HTC thinking with the hinge mechanism? First that and now these issues and their attitude to them....not exactly inspiring confidence HTC.

[deleted post]Unfortunately I made the mistake of buying the HTC HD2 and within the time I've had it, I've been through 7 of them due to Hardware and software issues and it's only been out for a little over a year. Yeah, it'll be faster, oh about that, it locks up 3 times a day, reboots itself about the same amount of times daily. I've given HTC a try and they are fail with the HD2. Lol!!! Replace my brain with HTC, it will be faster. LOL!!! Can I use that one? Hilarious

[deleted post]Let me rephrase my post, Anonymous made the comment that Nokia wasn't nor Never Has Been on top. My response was that Nokia was on top for a very long time before Android and iOS were ever thought of, heck even before Google Existed. No they aren't on top now and with the moves they are making, they will never be on top again. Do you understand my post now?

Has anyone tested the death grip on the HTC DESIRE, i have it does the same thing ,PICK PICK PICK PICK every phone has a cerain flaw or another .

ijust tested the grip of death on the htc desire and it does the exact same thing ,did anyone think of testing that aswell before judging the handset????????????????????????????????????????????all phones a certain flaws pick pick pick pick .

I guess I will have to put off getting the Sensation, and wait till HTC release the Sensation "S" as has been their trend of late. Hopefully that one will not suffer from the "death grip" LOL!

Nowhere in the video is shown that keeping the phone in landscape mode is causing full wifi signal loss. You are making this up based just on suggestions. GSMArena, get the damn phone, make a review and try doing it for yourself - then give your final opinion. When you hold a phone in a landscape mode you don't cover the whole phone with your hands - therefor it would not cause a signal outage...

we all understand your trying to prove a point but your video shows one thing and you write something completely different.
just do the test IN LANDSCAPE mode and do a new video. if your claims are true then it should not be hard to show.
until i see a new video, i'm with HTC on this one.

i bought the sensation a few days ago , its unlocked , and im using it with T-Mobile , im so happy with the device ,i have no problem what so ever, it has a great signal and an excellent software , and i think its a very fast device, great job HTC.

It also depends who is offering your network at&t or so. Some have these problems some have not. Yes it is some of the hardware inside of the phone but it also depends how good tecnology the operators have.

just noticed while squeezing the top and bottom of my desire it does the same, not quite as bad, it doesnt drop the network signal all the way but the wifi it does, I'v had the phone for 8 months and I'v only just notice it, so not really a problem.

We've know published our full 19 pages review of the HTC Sensation and we've looked into the antenna issues with a whole page covering the problems experienced in our earlier videos that GSM Arena later have confirmed.
We have real signal readings from both the HTC Sensation and Galaxy S II and the results, pictures and videos is pretty hard to deny. Its not something you will always notice, but its there and clearly in ordinary usage scenarios as well.

HTC Sensation truely have some antenna problems and we've now complemented our first videos with now videos, images and real signal readings of the phones antenna signal.
The phone can loose up to 30 dBm just by switching to a two hand grip for casual landscape usage.
