Nokia 8 scratches, burns, doesn't bend in comprehensive torture test

05 October 2017
Despite using the same 6000 series aluminum as some bendy iPhones of times past, the Nokia flagship stays unbent.

Nokia fan boy, 07 Oct 2017Then you tell me about cruise ships. They are made of Iron a... moreDamn, who said Titanium ship will sink LoL.

Titanium is super costly, iron is not, that's the reason iron is used in ships.
Although in Planes, they have to face tremendous pressure at higher altitudes and iron don't make the cut, thus for added reliability Titanium is used to guarantee safety, since titanium is the strongest.

If only Apple were rich and kind, they could have set up a factory in USA and bring 100million labour's in USA just like Nokia, Motorola and Blackberry before. Steel or titanium sinks because they have higher density. That's why Iron is a great option for Nokia despite no one has ever manufacturer an Iron phone.

Why are you still caring about Symbian OS this time when Nokia has came back??? Symbian is dead since 2012. There is still Nokia S30 or S40 which are for features phone like the new Nokia 3310. If they were to bring back Symbian in 2017, they should have assisinat Elop in 2011 before murdering Nokia.

                      First Nokia’s truly masterpiece.
                      MeeGo UI was so well-backed.
Too bad they were giving up too soon.
They proved that thay can make dev come to build a wp app. Why they could not do the same with MeeGo?

Tha Fabula design was brought to Lumia series, while the icon packs was copied by Samsung. That swipe gesture first copied by BB10 and then iPhone X.

I liked how Nokia developed Harmattan. I wish Nokia would bring back that UI and features to Android O or P.

Impact resistant? everything is PLASTIC junk. Screens are plastic not glass and scratch just by looking at them. FLAPS for water protection? How 2010 of them. 512mb of ram and 4gb of storage? the same as a basic phone 5 years ago. 4mb camera interpolated (aka faked) to 12mb? you can see the lack of quality. a 4000mAh battery? if you believe what's printed on the box... FYI it's more like 1500. They're "quad core"? yeah the same ones used 5 years ago in the original batch of knock off phones. Android 5.1? OOOOOHHHH classic software. GPS? yeah only when it's got internet connectivity since it's NOT real GPS. Playstore? yeah, ish. It's jammed in there and doesn't understand apps that the phone can't handle. Half the apps open and just close, if they open at all. 2 sim slots AND an SD card slot. In fairness they don't have all the US bands, but they rarely work right with the ones the phone is supposed to work with. The SD card is limited to 32gb, requires constant re-seating of the card before it corrupts / destroys the card... and you might as well forget about installing apps to the card without jumping thru hoops.

I'd actually trust the most basic Nokia model to hold up better to extreme situations (that's it's not meant for) AND be a vastly better experience day to day. Oh and it's probably cheaper to get the Nokia.

With that said, if you want one of those "rugged" Chinese phones... I wish you luck and see you in a few weeks when you're shopping for another phone.

Guess what? It survives with just a small dent to the outer rim.. It also survived being thrown straight onto tarmac with another dent and scratch.. Still it works fine the screen didnt break the camera didnt break and i can still call you with the phone right now

Symbian was the root to everything u can find on your smartphone today.

N9 was the last piece of innovation. But people dont see it. But they see something else. Yes, iPhone X it is.
Apple will sue Nokia for copying and pasting on N9 soon. Brace yourself, Nokia.
