Nokia 8 scratches, burns, doesn't bend in comprehensive torture test

05 October 2017
Despite using the same 6000 series aluminum as some bendy iPhones of times past, the Nokia flagship stays unbent.

And who say Nokia 9 will fail in durability???There might be a miracle where the indestructible glass won't be borrowed from Corning Glass but making their own Nokia glass that is stronger than the Gorilla Glass 5 like how they created Zeiss camera sensor in 2005, upcoming 5G network which is coming in 2025 and OZO audio, which is debited from Nokia 8.

LOL, a startup shows Apple how to construct durable phones from the same material.
              There goes Apple's build credibility.

Don't worry. It seems like Nokia 9 will fail where Samsung failed too. I think Nokia 8 will be my last Nokia.

Aluminum, titanium or stainless steel is not good for upcoming Nokia phones. Why not go for iron instead to make the most indestructible smartphone that can cause the ground to be a sink hole after the 3rd drop!!!!! IRON is extremely the strongest metal of all, world's hardest metal and more efficient.

Just that one manufacturing plant instead of the whole Foxconn.. Foxconn has many manufacturing plants although they themselves never being owned by Nokia or Microsoft..

In short.. Nokia(parent company) Logo and endorsement+HMD design(ex Nokia staff)+Foxconn(ex Nokia plant)=The NOKIA we see today with its legendary built quality intact..

HMD is a Finnish company who dealt with Microsoft for the ownership of the brand name Nokia back in September 2014. HMD is composed of former Nokia admin/staff and some workers that Microsoft laid off after losing Nokia's mobile division. HMD is working with FoxConn for the production of their units. FoxConn is now a Chinese company but was formerly owned by Nokia before Microsoft took over.

FoxConn? if you don't know about that name, well the company is the manufacturer of Apple, Acer, HP, Dell, Xiaomi, Sony, Cisco and many more. Now you may go get a life and search for better info about the things that you hate for.

Jerry proved this smartphone was a durability champion like no other, easily matches the most durables phones he has ever tested in his shelf. In the end, what matters is that you are getting a phenomenally well built device with a headphone jack and a clean android experience (not as clean as the Pixel 2 series, but close nonetheless). Also it proves that Apple just can't build solid devices, when clearly HMD knows how to.

I am still using my Nokia 808 as my primary phone and it is still fluid as ever even with 32GB of SD and 16GB internal almost full to the brink.. Symbian although hard to code is much more advanced than Android and iOS combined.. The most prominent feature is it can install apps wholly on a memory card and if it detects a preinstalled app on a memory card it will add the app on the menu automatically.. Symbian also can hot swap memory card without turning the phone off.. Symbian also supports 128GB microSDXC since 2012 with exFAT file format no less..

Symbian is near impossible to write code that enables it to be used in touch screen phones
Symbian is therefore phones with keypads

Nokia move to Microsoft was due to not being prone to Malware which Android is still hence the monthly patches.

Nokia phones are 95% removable battery the use in none waterproof phones defeats the argument

The Nokia 8 posted benchmarks just shy of Oneplus 5 but ahead of Google Pixel

Whilst these videos help, it is cases and screen protectors that are all phones primary saviours, nothing looks worse than new phone showing wear, and the owner is using the phone naked

I had the Nokia E6 (metal) keypad phone protected
The keys were unmarked and pristine, but the D ring made of stainless steel which within months show wear just from touching it

The S8, Nokia 8, Oneplus 5, and Pixel 2 use the Adreno 540 so an affordable S8 alternative,
with that , OnePlus5 & Pixel do not have memory expansion, so the Nokia 8 can make inroads

I can't wait for the sale figures
