Hope Oneplus doesn't do it. Releasing a phone a few months later with a bigger screen and other 2 or 3 minor updates? I'd prefer they focus their efforts on making an awesome Oneplus 6 and release it next year March or April with bezeless screen, 2k amoled display, water resistant, wireless charge, snap 845 etc

Anonymous, 09 Oct 2017It'll copy Samsung galaxy note 8No. They have now other tradition - copying iPhone. Will they revert screen again, or something like that and increase the price? And I guess will be a lot of strange people on every forum who will tell it's the best. And will disappear in one moment when advertising budget will over. Like with op5.

            In my opinion -
One plus 5T will be there bcz...
            1. Even though op5 was a good phone it was not received well by many bcz of its poor design.
            2. Op5 did heavy advertising and branding but sales were very discouraging.
            3. Due to poor sales and much better phone launches by competitors there is very high pressure on Op to reduce price
            4. If they reduce price there brand value will fall further and fans like me won't take it well

What options are there for one plus....
            1. Advertise heavily and maintain price
            2. Launch new color options and more limited edition models
            3. Ultimately launch OP5T with small bezels to be in the game otherwise fans won't wait for that long and their craze may fade away

I'm confused. Is this suggesting that OnePlus 5 will stop being produced and that the 5T would replace it just a few months after the 5's launch? If yes, man is OnePlus an immature company.
I've always seen them as a very immature company led by an immature man. This would just confirm it.

Oppo, Vivo and Oneplus are all owned by BKK Electronics, since Oppo have announced Oppo F5 it had copied iPhone 7+ back cover just like the Oneplus 5 did, but it also intentionally copied the Samsung Galaxy 8 front screen. What does that tell you about Oneplus 6? It will copying design from others from bezelless curved display and rear fingerprint sensors etc. Since Oneplus is a small company they don't have much resources, instead they will get ideas from other brands and BKK electronics and produce their upcoming phone which will be a copy or rip off model of anything, you name it.

iPhone feels like a brick in the hand.

Because.. Oneplus 5 is an embarrassment in copying the iPhone 7+, there won't be 5T instead they'll skip to 6 and change the design into something original, but all of that won't happen until Qualcomm introduces Snapdragon 845.

The phone in the picture (Oppo F5) could be described as a cross between Samsung Galaxy S8 and LG G6. Not even remotely close to iPhone (both 8 and X are quite a bit different).
It's most definitely not innovative, but it has nothing to do with Apple.

Damn some people see "Apple copies" in literally everything ...

But it isn't a law, the LG V30+ isn't any bigger than the regular V30. In the past, Samsung has used "Advance" for chipset upgrades, there are many ways to denote an improved device.

This sounds plausible. They might wanna do a T version and upgrade the display since they had/have that nasty jelly screen problem. That however, would be great!

If the rumours are true if sounds like the OP5 has been a bit of a disaster for OP, given they've already promised the 5 will get a beta channel I'm assuming the 6 will come with the 835 SoC but will get much thinner bazels, something the 5 should have always had from day one.

Peter-B, 09 Oct 2017The 3 was unveiled in June, the 3T in November. I get what ... moreOh, Peter its embarrassing how wrong you are.

The Plus models, especially with iPhone, denotes a Larger device with a Larger Screen.
The OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T were identical. So what the "T" stood for was most akin to Apple's use of "S", as in iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S.

Also OnePlus didn't want to use the Model Number 4, so it was a double-reason. They couldn't get their hands on the new QSD 835 at that time (too early, and stock shortages due to Samsung hogging them)... so they had to resort to using the QSD 821.

Now, the QSD 836 has been cancelled. So I do not think OnePlus will have a OnePlus 5T, especially since they're behind the curve of the competitors when it comes to the cameras, loudspeakers, ingress protection, and bezel size. I think OnePlus will make the wise choice and jump to the OnePlus 6 early in 2018 where they address these issues.

And in that time, maybe the OnePlus 6 could get its hands on the rumoured QSD 840. And maybe they will fix the problems with the 5's dual-camera issues. If not, the OnePlus 6 will still use the old QSD 835 chipset in the new body, perhaps with a discount to the handset to a more reasonable US $449 and US $499 price.

So while I'm going off everything based on historical choices, current trends, and untrusted rumours.... there really is a lot of information we can guesstimate with some degree of precision about the OnePlus 5 successor.
