It has several advantages on paper. Bascially it's one unit so optimisations can be for hardware included inside. Price wise it is very affordable - much less than a Samsung VR capable phone. You are not limited to buying the same phone for VR so that relationship is broken which is a good thing. Probably it's best feature is it's ease of use being truely plug and play.

"No external hardware is used for the tracking, meaning it will be less accurate than the Rift."
      - Shouldn't these types of statements be at least based on experience rather than conjecture? What happens if heaven forbid progress was made in inside out tracking? Can anybody here tell me unequivocally that Santa Cruz tracking will be worse than the Rift?

This Oculus Go is really an entry VR headset. Especially since it is using an LCD display, instead of an OLED display. But for $200 and it comes with a 3dof controller that is compatible with Gear VR controller. Then it is a really great price. Plus it can use the Oculus software.

Agree with GSM Arena, it doesn't look it it is better than Gear VR or Google VR.

As long it have HDMI port, it could go into PSVR.
Well, PSVR virtual cinema where it simulate bigass tv at least. People have been using it to play WiiU, Xbox and such

Of course they won't let the Go eat into the sales of the Rift by letting it stream gameplay from your PC. And of course that's the only thing I'm interested in, so back to $10 worth of headgear with two lenses and 40$ worth of software that CAN stream whatever I want. The VR market is passing these idiots by and they don't even realize it...
