I hope they can just include this feature with the Oreo Update that's coming so we dont have to root our s8/s8+/note 8 devices.

The guy who posted the original post on XDA Developers and Facebook made a mistake in stating the features of the rooting exercise.
It's 2k @ 60p. Either that or those guys are making No Effort at proof-reading.

I also Suspect that the Only Smartphone maker that can do 8-bit or 10-bit 4-2-2 is Samsung.
Also if Exynos 8895 can do 4k at 120fps, then it should be able to handle 1000fps at 1080p more easily than Sony.

I have been saying this for the Longest.
The Snapdragon processor is the Weak Link in the Photographic and Video Capabilities of the Samsung Smartphones. Samsung Smartphones can do Even Better than they do now.
Samsung should make Much Faster RAM and NAND Memory Exclusive to its Exynos Processors.
I guess Smartphone Sensors (apart from Snapdragon) were the Weak Link. Once Samsung starts making even Better smart phone Camera Sensor than it does now, it will be WAY ahead of the Market.
