samsung's marketing tricks are indeed bad. very very bad. but they have done great things to android development.

Google writes Android independently of how and what Samsung is doing. You should rephrase your statement to the "mobile phone market", not "Android". Even then, I don't agree with it but that's a discussion best left untouched on.

the innovations of other brands like Samsung for example. The things that were released in the past, some years later for them when they launch their phones, are better and innovations, but don't pass of copycats of things that other companies released in the past.

Android world would be faaar better off without Samsung... The megalomaniac company that uses industry monopoly and dirt marketing to overcome competition.
There would be so many more innovations and not only copycats without true innovation in android world. Apple wouldnt be a competitor at all, as it is not even now with less than 20% share in mobile.
And before replies, I dont care what any of you think of my stance on this.
Samsung is just bad news for android.

loving a particular brand is a bad idea. people should not do it. those brands are just companies. if one of them die, other will replace. so we as users, shall not love them.

Everyone talking here about improbable demise of Samsung, which is in fact not the essence of this article in any possible way, shows how hurt these fanboys are. Samsung isn't a small company to be bothered by these incidents and apart from one or two sub-divisions, Samsung Group is enjoying profits where a certain iconic company is just surviving by the profits it gets from only 2 sub-divisions. Yes, as someone pointed out, Android needs Samsung more than anything else. Without them, Apple would enjoy monopoly in flagships and add a rough 40-60 millions to their already crazy sales figures. Samsung is the one who swayed many millions away from Apple by providing a better alternative. No other brand from Android world did anything extraordinary to garner attention as Samsung did. Samsung's annual flagship sales on an average 40-60 millions which is way more than the combined sales figures of Sony, htc, LG & Pixels.

I don’t understand the hatred one might have towards a company to wish their “death”. Especially as Samsung has been the one bringing cooler tech to the masses for more reasonable prices than competition, and in so many different fields. If you don’t like their products, at least wish them best as they’ve kept competition in check for years, leading to all around better products from everyone.
