If i am gonna spend close to a thousand bucks, i want my phone to be stronger one. I would accept those old school design.

Panda color
Extra camera lens
Better for Daydream VR
Better screen/bezel ratio
Add the fact that the iPhone X will have similar dimensions as the smaller Pixel but have a 0.8" bigger display. I'm pretty adaptable with all sizes these days considering my V20 is one of my favorite phones ever that backs up my G5 in case it ever breaks or gets stolen. I even use an iPhone SE as third-wheel. Complaining about phone size is so 2014-ish. Many of us just get used to it already.
Pixel 2 XL is a no-brainer choice for most.

This site makes too much of the bezel. All my other phones have and it does not bother me at all. All the apples had it too for years and others. But no, this site chooses to focus you on it. It has practical benefits and you don't notice it. Seriously GSM I am a bit surprised at you for negative focus when their is so much to like on these. Pixel 2 is the perfect size for me and is same size as One A9 which is gorgeous still. Size a sweet spot. Enjoy

HTC used to be my favorite Android OEM four years ago. Now LG is showing its superiority over them. Seems like HTC is stuck with BoomSound-less shells from half a decade ago.
I would definitely choose the Pixel 2 XL in panda over the smaller Pixel 2. I had the smaller Pixel 1 but realized Daydream VR wouldn't work completely on it. I prefer that size but Quad HD and 5.5" should be bare minimum for VR. This year is where bigger is better because of smaller top and bottom bezels and extra camera lens.
I'm still rooting equally for LG and HTC to succeed. But as of now..

If they made the Pixel look more trendy-like but still durable like the G6 or V30, it would have been perfect for me. The 5" 1080 p Amoled display is perfect for me, and the size of the phone would be very comfortable at the hand. They could have put a larger battery and dual cam would be nice addition. Removing the headphone jack is just plain stupid though.

Wow. Many supporters voted Google pixel 2 XL that has bezelless display. Hey, do you know that even the Google pixel 2 with humongous bezel is 2 times durable than the pixel 2 XL.

How large are the bezels of the Pixel 2 compared to the XL2? I calculated based on known dimensions when it was announced, and Pixel 2 had slimmer side bezel by .5mm. Not quite bigger all around like the article claimed.

Pixel smartphones are overpriced as much as Apple, but pixel offers way better experience than Apple in all aspects, Display, cameras, battery, STBR, front facing stereo speakers, fast charger out of the box, nevertheless still overpriced.
This actually shows how incredibly iphones are overrated.

I would have preferred to get the Pixel 2 but those bezels are hideous. If it had the same screen to bezel ratio as the XL2 I think the smaller pixel would be the favourite.
