Anonymous, 18 Oct 2017The burden of proof lies on the person making the dubious claim. The best way to save yourself from the truth, is to avoid the fact that experience is the truth. Not what you think and read. Reviewers are paid to rate and most of them focus on the worthless things about phones. But as long you can believe in unicorns, do it. Real experience is a dangerous thing to do in life.

Anonymous, 16 Oct 2017I have failed to demonstrate it? Everything from benchmark ... moreYes you failed. You're sucking up to a guy who thinks that synthetic benchmarks are an reliable metric. I don't care about about big numbers like that if they do not apply to real world usage, and as far as I'm concerned the video I posted shows that they don't. That guy spreads that "two years behind" nonsense. Also it seems like you're ignoring the fact that there are more factors at play then the SOC when it comes to the video and file exporting. Again, if all you're going to do is spread misconceptions then I'm done discussing this.

I think Qualcomm should learn how to make better SoC because Snapdragons are jokes. Chinese OEMs are making their own SoCs because Qualcomm isn't competitive with Apple

Nic, 16 Oct 2017And how do you know that the video rendering test they did ... moreRead my post below. All the numbers, all the demanding tasks shows it being so, everyone with knowledge about SoC say it is so. What more do you need? And people are doing videoedition on there phone even if you are not (again listen to Gary at Android Authority if you don't want to listen to me).

And let me be clear. Im not saying Note 8 is slow as a phone, its clearly not. Im strictly talking about the SoC here (which is a part that i'm very interested in) and Apple is way ahead of the competition on that point, thats a fact.

Everything from benchmark to actual demanding real world CPU task show it clearly. Even the video that was show as been proof against what im saying shows iPhone 8 being faster where the CPU actual matters.

Again listen to the very tech knowable guy Gary at Android Authority says. He is definitely not a Apple fanboy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TiVF_ZzzLM0

Apple release its ARMv8 (64-bit) core a year ahead of anyone else. They have keep that lead since then. They have gone a completely different way compared to the competition and developed huge cores (physical size) which is alot more powerful than any other ARM SoC for smartphones.

Video rendering is not even a thing on mobile phones anyway, stop talking about it like you are comparing 2 workstations.
Also Note 8's pdf opening time is pure fable.

Dale Cooper, 14 Oct 2017So you think apple started that madness. Yes, it is stupid ... morelist phone that u give they dosnt care , they didnt know it exist .... if they know , they wont admit it , just blame apple for everything ....

Clinging to a tiny "victory" the iPhone had in a video on that I posted despite it losing overall is pathetic. The dubious article and video you linked just go on about on paper differences that do not translate to the real world. You prentend the stuff that might apply like the file exporting differences are do only to the SOC and the other quite important factors, such as the format of said files. If all you're going to do just continue to make your dubious claims without any real supporting evidence while I actually show evidence to the contrary, then I'm done responding to you

CPU should be tailored to thermal dissipation capacity of the casing taking into consideration full 100% sustained performance.
Sadly, very few are actually built this way. S625 is, BTW.

There is tons of proof/fact that has a much faster SoC but that does not mean the phone is faster in everything, there is alot more to it than just CPU.

The Snapdragon and Exynos are better in actual real world usage. Clinging to something like video editing which is dependent on other factors then the just the SOC. Also that article fails to show what applications they're using to export the videos and documents.

Anonymous, 15 Oct 2017Yes they are: https://youtu.be/8kpD3XCp49oEven in that test the iPhone 8 is faster in opening app (first lap). But that is a rather poor test of CPU/GPU since many of the simple apps has very little to do with CPU performance. The more CPU demanding the tasks is the more the A11 pulls ahead. See the for instance videoediting part or PDF file in Toms Guide, its so much faster. And those are not benchmarks but real applications:
                                        https://www.tomsguide.com/us/iphone-8-benchmarks-fastest-phone,review-4676.html

If thats not enough for you go listen to Gary of Android Authority speaking of why Apples SoCs are so much faster. He explains it very well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TiVF_ZzzLM0
