no headphone jack, lower resolution, and most of all no micro sd card slot, and they call this a "pro"??????? can someone enlighten me or there is something wrong here?

This thing should be some beast in dark scenes , as the sensor is a 1.6 and there is no rgb filter , this should be interesting especially since the sensor also has the resolution to back up the lens and no filter, so if proper optimization is present so it can reduce noise and increase sharpness of the should be already pretty good colour lens

Impressive NPU on their Kirin 970 SoC, but its comes with mixed messages with Mate 10 got lower IP rating than Mate 10 Pro but having a better screen with 2k resolution and expandable memory with micro SD card.
3.5 mm audio jack is a must, they almost go the Apple and Google ways with their iPhone and Pixels respectively.
Mate 10 Pro will be the best if it is upgraded into IP68 rating, 2k resolution or even 4k resolution, Micro SD card slot.
Huawei still don't want to learn much from their previous Mate 9 series mistakes in the past.

The whole AI thing sounds amazing, and it doesnt really contribute to anything in your daily life, except perhaps, be better at spying on users.
Also while it has f1.6 sensors, since one of the sensors is 20MP, there is a great likelihood that the pixel size will be tiny. That is why there was No Mention of better photo quality, or low light, or sharper and better pics etc.
The whole presentation was mostly about AI. Almost to the point that it seemed out of a sci-fi movie.
Curiously Disappointing.

you can use the home button like in P10 as the whole navigation bar, which means the on screen navigation is not necessary.

"with its super bright f/1.6 aperture, which will let much more light in than the old f/2.2 aperture" That's only true when the sensor size is not much smaller. For instance it could be a 1/4" sensor with 0.9 micrometer pixel size.
F-number does not say how much light is captured, but light per unit area.

Now this looks already a huge deal better than what we saw before :D
They use sane 16:9 instead of that horrible 18:9, they don't use that awful excrement brown, but instead a very pleasant Gold, and they don't use that ugly back design that was posted earlier either.
The camera is definitely a huge improvement, from mediocre f/2.2 to awesome f/1.6.
Price is in line with what they charged for Mate 9 at launch, so no price gouging here, as from many others.
It's just a seriously weird decision to pick solely Spain for the EU launch. Spain doesn't have a particularly strong economy, especially not now, with all the tumult arising from the secession of Katalonia going on. Germany, or also UK or France, would've been a much better choice, if they wanted to pick only one EU country for some odd reason, and it would certainly sell a lot better.

Beautiful phone , 16:9 with minimal bezels that's sooooo good. Buuuuuuut the stock icons for the UI so damn ugly.
