There is no need for Anna to record @30fps. It's possible to hack the camera app to obtain 30fps, higher bitrates and continous focus during video recording.

[deleted post]Well maybe Nokia history can change with Windows 7

Yesterday I was using a phone with Windows 7 phone an I was amazed, stable, fast, smooth.

We synch the phone with the Xbox360, Zune and PC and works perfect, was a dream of OS. Not a single LAG on it, video, pictures all is fully integrated.

I'm using right now an Droid X2 and this phone make my phone looks bad :P However I still using Droid because CDMA, but I'm pretty sure WP7.5 will pump some power to Nokia, that OS is AMAZING, and is easy rooted, unlocked and modified (I don't like mods anyway)

So, let's see if Nokia can survive with the new OS. SInce Nokia and Microsoft are partners, they can create the perfect phone for a great new OS. Let's see...

n8 camera is the best so far for me, only need to improve on the led flash to xenon which works naturally better in the dark.

Hey Nokia just focus the purple tint issue of N8,c7,E7.. You need a major calibration of amoled screen, So many Nokia die hard fan suffer a defect amoled they send it at nokia care center even has changed a new screen but it received back same result, its a software problem and hardware problem not in amoled problem.

So nokia before you released update, fixed it first the purple tint issue N8,c7,E7.

                              [deleted post]update
                              or
                              up to date

because you see, there is a thing called time
and its related to dates. google it, you may be surprised

if a manufacturer like nokia thinks of something new, they will update an old phone
if an android maker or iphone makes someting new, you'll probably need to buy a new phone

there is a article on the home page of gsma about htc desire which proves my point
they say that there is not enough memory
                              so lets compare: wildfire s has 512mb ramm 600mhz - 2.3, salsa 512, 800mhz - 2.4, desire 576mb ram 1ghz - 2.2
does that make "sense"? pun intended

Nokia may not get the OS right, but there are two things Nokia can do - hardware & cameras.

there should be an option for this
cinema mode or some other crap
cause HD movies are all shot and recorded in 25fps to have that cinematic feel and it wont have that anymore after the update :(

I just finished the full testing of Symbian Anna, using the upcoming Nokia X7-00. This new version still lags behind Android, iOS and WP7 in terms of performance, reliability, design, user-friendliness and software available.

I just finished the full testing of Symbian Anna, using the upcoming Nokia X7-00. This new version still lags behind Android, iOS and WP7 in terms of performance, reliability, design, user-friendliness and software available.

New features you'll notice the most in Symbian Anna:

                                    - New qwerty keyboard in vertical orientation.
                                    - New icons. They are a little girly for my taste, but still much better than the old ones.
                                    - New font in the email client.
                                    - New UI for the web browser. They say the speed is improved too, but I can't see any difference.
                                    - Improved stabilty over the latest S^3, but still miles behind the competition.

                                    Conclusions:

                                    - Nokia loses one more opportunity to make an impact with Symbian. These changes are too little, too late.
                                    - Nokia will keep updating Symbian for some time, which is good news for its user base. There's more improvements coming.
                                    - Don't buy a Symbian phone, get something else (aka Windows Phone, Android or iPhone).

                                    Someone posted:

"... not to mention that for business people, e series is still the king"

That was some time ago. Look how E Series have turned out. Their latest line of releases is underwhelming.

ugesh kumar, 14 Jun 2011Nice enhancement for video recording. The continuous autofo... moreAF is only needed for recording subjects closer than about 2 feet from the camera. At normal distances everything is in focus already. And Samsung, LG, HTC video looks like garbage, especially in anything but ideal lighting. I'd rather have good looking 2x zoom, with stabilization and minimal noise, than crappy 10x zoom to impress the consumer sheep.
