come on Nokia, shrink those bezels

All Nokia phones should look like this.
Coz i really hate the physical home button and it's design of navigation buttons

Other parts are good, glad to see proper midrange from HMD Nokia. 6 was underpowered.

Camera hump and bottom bezel (without fingerprint scanner or physical navigation keys) are simply unjustifiable.

:o, its really not that bad indeed! At sub 380€ and with such specifications and modern connectivity capabilities, i'm certain this would be a quite popular smartphone in Europe and Asia (you don't seem to be losing that much when compared to even the Nokia 8 with this).

Very similar deal to the Moto X4 but this one has more RAM and I don't trust Motorola anymore, so I think the Nokia 7 is a better deal.

MKL, 19 Oct 2017What about LG Q6?Not bad but I got a galaxy S6 and the LG is still bigger than that. I can't really one hand my S6 that much.

I'm gonna wait for next years Samsung A3 2018 and see how compact it is

Anonymous, 19 Oct 2017Oh god Does it lack OIS camera.. Then waste of money.. came... moreLumia 830 is comparable to Nokia 8 - both had OIS. Similarly Nokia 7 is comparable to Lumia 730 (which I still have) - Both ZEISS camera. I still see the L730's 6.7 MP ZEISS camera capturing much better pics than Moto G4 plus's 13 MP camera (my daily driver now). So ZEISS certification does mean you are assured of picture quality.
I feel they have got most ticks right. So it's bang on to what I was expecting from Nokia 7. This fits into my budget and specs requirement. :) Only issue is with Glass back.. I'm not so sure now how much accidental abuse it will hold up :(

I'm glad Nokia is back in the game. This phone even being a midrange manages to be smaller than my Z5 and they both have a 5,2 screen. So stop crying about the bezels. Some people don't mind (myself included), we want to put our thumbs somewhere while watching content.

It's a great addiction to the new Nokias nonetheless.

Anonymous, 19 Oct 2017reminds me my preivous zenfone 3. If Nokia manages to earn ... moreYou can't polish the Android UI as to make it look good. You can never have all icons of all apps to look like they follow the same design guidelines and principles. And the base system UI (like popups and other settings screens) is still in the age of 4 - 4.5" screens.
On top of this, add the general UI inconsistencies - like certain text is smaller or larger than what you would expect across different parts of the OS. Still an immense amount of work needs to be done to bring the UI/UX to 2017 standards. Even iOS is still in 2015 and needs a UI/UX improvement to bring it to present day, but it's more consistent than any Android launcher out there. PS I don't like either iOS nor Android launchers.

If Nokia manages to earn ... moreWell, if they have the same success as the Zenfone 3, they better do something else. Especially if it comes full of bloatware like those of Asus. I do not think Asus is a good example so far.

The design is underrated unlike metal body and bezelless design, curved screen corners we have now, downside is the lack of high end specs snapdragon 835 and OIS, this is a budget phone.

Why glass back? It's fragile, slippery and fingerprint magnet.
