So those with iPhone 6 or lower are opting for 7 and 7 plus due to almost same deal as 8 on lower price.

AnonD-659932, 20 Oct 2017It has nothing to do with people waiting for the iphone x..... moreYeah, iphone x is like a beta product. It won't be the device that apple fans would expect

It has nothing to do with people waiting for the iphone x...The iphone 8 is a huge disappointment and people would rather get the nearly identical 7 for a lot cheaper - and there's no way they are spending 1k+ on the x(a phone that is *far* from perfect)

Better pray the pop out display issue is an isolated problem else this is going to be a fun year for Apple to remember.

Maybe it was highlighting the gold-sparkle-shirt-hipster-girl in the ad instead of phone features that are actually different/better than the 7. Call me old school, but what a waste of millions on advertising.

AnonD-600584, 20 Oct 2017Apple made a wrong move on launching Apple iPhone 8 and 8 P... morethey made right move because they lure customers to spend more now
they do it on purpose so now all the sheeps who want to brag about their latest expensive iPhone need to pay them 1k$
and they don't lose anything from these low sales since iPhone 8 is a refurbished iPhone 6/6s

This is the prime example of the Osborne effect, announcing a better and newer product in short time frame. Better slash the iPhone 8 price close to the 7, if the iphone 8 gets close to $500 then it may sell more.

I would of thought a 6month gap at least between each model on release date, doesn't make sence else,

Strange that they announced the 8s and the X at the same time. Of COURSE people will wait to get upgraded to the X. The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus will have to depend on SIM-free sales.

Apple made a wrong move on launching Apple iPhone 8 and 8 Plus with the anticipated Apple iPhone X. That's a wrong strategy. RIP.
