OnePlus 5T also gets 20MP + 20MP camera, may have larger battery

25 October 2017
The camera info comes by way of AnTuTu, the battery specs are from the less-reliable OppoMart, which is taking pre-orders.

If 808 or Ray is what you need I cant say anything. Just enjoy!
Symbian OS never was smooth comparing to Android phones. I was always Nokia fan and my last one was X7, E7 and N900. Nokia 9...will see

Consumers many definitely buy series but the point I was tring to make is the same way google chrome updates every two weeks since they are constantly tweaking, have smaller runs for hardware too.(obviously its much harder to change physical items and assembly lines but if you even partially with quarterly updates...)

true demand will be different. most of the phone-buying now is based on stupid impulse ppl saying "I got to get the new one" that factor won't be as prevalent with shorter update cycles but people who need new phones won't have to wait for the next "announcement" or chose a different company because "their" phone model came out eight months ago and they want new tech, not last years.

I guess that sales of OP5 have not wend well which is not surprise since the $500 price. Carriers subsidized competitors like S8 and S8+ come at same price with much better phone and value.

The OP should keep policy of high performance at reasonable price phone instead of price rising and letting performance down .

There is also a rumors of Oppo R11S to use new camera trick which will use smaller pixel of R11S camera sensor to create one Bigger 2micron pixel for more clear Night and High Dynamic Range shots , same could happen to One plus 5T camera .. Source Twitter @TechNavvi

I suggest you read the review here on gsmarena first.. 38MP is useful for 1)Downsampling to achieve NOISELESS pureview picture. 2)Zooming with little to no degradation up to 3x

You need to go and educate yourself. Plus, why the hell would you 38MP camera and downsample it? I know there's gonna be a difference in size but is it really that big of a difference? Unless social media apps don't allows it then you'll be right.

Anonymous, 25 Oct 2017Wrong in so many levels, more megapixel count DOES means be... moreMore megapixels DOES count when you have a bigger sensor. Smaller sensors don't benefit from higher megapixels, they benefit from a smaller one. Because as I said in my last comment, it'll mean bigger pixels which will allow for much more light to come. Big and small sensors do benefit from OIS though.

The new Xperias have big, excellent sensors when we consider smartphones, but the higher megapixels and Sony's image processing let them down. I say that Sony can give us the best of both worlds if they added a monochrome sensor to next year's phones. After owning a Huawei P10 Plus and seeing it's camera capabilities, I do wish for sony to go this way because it can give us a 23MP monochrome sensor for luminous data ( details, dynamic range, and sharpness) and 12MP RGB sensor for color's information. My P10 Plus can shoot in both 12MP and 20MP. Moreover, the dynamic range is day and night better than most flagships this year.

And to let you know, I don't give a damn about any company. I use Sony phones (XZ premium) because of their speed and stability, not for anything else. But for still images and professional results, I use the P10 Plus or my Mate 10 which will come soon.

                          Super slow???
The 808 Pureview is still as buttery smooth as when it first came out.. I used it daily for calls, messaging, occasional browsing and taking pictures/videos.. It manages to operate smoothly even when the SD card and internal storage is 99.9% full with pictures/videos.. That's the efficiency of Symbian..

                          Unsupported???
I use the 808 Pureview as my presentation device.. It supports 3 ways to output video to a screen/projector.. MicroHDMI, RCA through the 3.5mm jack and WIDI.. Not just mirroring the screen it can output true 1080p via Big Screen app.. It also supports full office documents/powerpoints/excel.. And you can attach a bluetooth or usb keyboard/mouse to work with the documents.. It also supports USB OTG.. AND it supports microSDXC upto 256GB with exFAT file format since 2012!!..

                          Ugly?
Okay beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But at least it is unique and different from the sea of slabs nowadays and it always bring me the attention everytime I whip it out. Some even dared to challenge its camera and became a laughing stock when they lost.

                          Not handy?
LOL it is a small 4 inch phone albeit with its thickness it is easily pocketable than most of todays 5.5 inchers. And it is more comfortable to grip also due to its thickness in the hand unlike todays razor thin phone that slices its users palm..

                          What else tiny 1500mah battery??
Nowadays I got 2 days of battery life from daily usage and I never changed its battery since 2012..

                          No Apps??
What I got on the Nokia 808 suffice me. Offline Nokia Maps for GPS. Quick Office, Open Office and Microsoft Office for work. Nokia Browser and Opera browser for surfing. Photo FX for photo editing. Vlingo for voice command. Joikuspot for tethering. I also have FM Radio and FM transmitter on board. NFC reader and tag writer. Psiloc World Traveler for my travels and Nokia Health for my fitness tracking.

                          What games??
I have my own gaming rig with dual graphic at home why would I want to game on my phone?? OK just kidding.. I do travel a lot and I need to bring some games along and for that I use Emigens for Genesis games, Emisnes for SNES games, and gpsp for GBA games.. I also have EmiPSX for PS1 games and PPSSPP for PSP games. These are better games than crappy mobile games of today..

Apart from its impeccable image quality, this is why I still use my 808 as a primary phone until today.. I believe I am utilising more than twice of my 808 than the average smartphone user with their latest smartphone.. I do have an android phone as a secondary phone which is the Xperia ray on 4.0.4 ICS.. cute and easy to bring and gets me through whatever I need that is on Android..

                          Nokia 808 FTW!!
