Oneplus is no more flagship killer. Its just competitive priced. How the price is coming close to s8 and LG etc i dont see any advantage of buying oneplus. And not to mention the resale value and aftersales services. Maybe killer camera with OIS will make them survive....time will tell.

You probably never used Sony Xperias because you're blind, their camera captures detailed image and is probably the only brand that uses X-reality engine imaging processor which allows you to view images in much more clarity. Just admit you're blind, you never used a 20 MP camera because it'll out perform most Samsung galaxy 12 MP and if Samsung did have X-reality engine you would questioned yourself "Am I really blind?"

I don't get why manufacturers still believe that higher megapixels gives a better camera experience. Come on it's 2017 god damn it.
Look at Sony's take on this, if they make a 12MP with f1.6 version of their excellent IMX400 and add OIS with a minor touch of saturation to please the non-professional consumers, they would've probably killed every flagship in camera quality. I think the the size of the pixels will be 2 microns or something. But instead they went with 19MP with f2.0 + no OIS. And while it's good, it could've been better. A LOT better.
Even my friend who's not even into smartphones doesn't care about megapixels. When I asked he said that as long the pictures look good, he doesn't care.

Did anyone else notice that there were only 6GB options? I didn't see the 8GB RAM option? But $650 is pushing them to the flagship category. I think OnePlus should have waited for the Snapdragon 845. This seems like a pointless purchase unless you have to have those limited bezels.

The only problem i see with OnePlus is they promise a flagship killer at reasonable prices ....... but by the time their product is actually available to the consumers ...... those flagships have already lowered their prices ..... making them not so much of a flagship killer

AnonD-710640, 25 Oct 2017it's like Tesla version less manufacturing. Rapid updates a... moreYour analogy is very wrong here. Reasons
1. Tesla has Monopoly in electric cars manufacturing so they can do whatever they want.
2. Cellphones are not like sandwich which we eat in morning and shit in evening. Average user spends at least a year to two year with a phone so the launch of any new model should be in proportion of products uses cycle.
3. It's the most important point. If you have not noticed - it's not the company which sells it's the cellphone model which sells. Eg. G series from Motorola, note series from Samsung etc. So it becomes important preserve, maintain and expand the customer base by maintaining a proper launch cycle.
Considering these reasons I do not agree with one plus's strategy to launch two flagships a year. Instead they should launch two different models like apple (normal and plus), Samsung(s and note). It will help them target more consumers and also develop model fan following.

AnonD-685841, 25 Oct 2017More pixels = smaller pixels = poor low light performance. ... moreSmaller Pixel have more noise but it's smaller noise because the pixel are smaller, at the same resolution the result is pretty similar. With low light noise reduction sharpness takes a hot anyways so your 16mp file will look like 2mp and so does your 20mp file... Nothing to worry here, but also nothing to looking forward. It's just marketing

If they manage to increase battery with same footprint as of OnePlus 5 then I think it's intentional that they didn't put bigger battery in op5. And as someone already said it is better to buy t variant from now on if you want to keep your phone for two years

Why manufacture 100,000 units to sell over two years when you can manufacture 50k and sell it over six months? Then have the next model come out.
