Nokia wanted Apple to sign such an agreement that would allow Nokia to make uses of multitouch patents APPLE owns; however apple said Nokia you can eat poo we'll pay the royalty fees as they're a drop in the bucket for us.

for symb s40 phone 1 GHZ cpu....
I think you will put a dual core 1.5 ghz to the new c1-04 65k color phone....

When Apple first started off in 2007 there was no iOS, no multitasking and just a plain touchscreen phone with a handful of apps.
Somehow the whole app thing took off like wildfire and that's what made iOS.
Nokia maybe a few years behind on the whole OS race, but its not over yet, and no one should really count on Android being THE os for all of eternity.

And there are certain things that works natively in android, and not in the dalvik java virtual machine.
Do you actually think you can run a vitual machine, without an OS running in the background?

Basically what you get when you pair a s40 with a large screen and large processor, is what apple started out with their first iPhones. If Nokia can add a QT like system for running apps and perhaps basic multitasking this could actually be a winning concept, if the pricing is right….I must add :-)
