New HTC U11 Plus teaser shows a small screen bezel

27 October 2017
HTC is finally ready to leave huge bezels behind, as it unveils the U11 Plus on November 2.

Oh for gods sake, stop going on about the bezel hysteria and focus on what is so obviously great.
To say, quote, We wouldn't call this 'near-bezelless' though” : Really was that necessary to put that slant. Who cares, it is small. Enough said.

The pic enclosed is a very beautiful refinement. I actually think this size bezel is perfect and better in some ways that all bezeless. Anyway enough of that mayhem..

The U11 Plus from all counts and renders is looking phenomenal. Cant wait.
I am giving Apple a miss this year due the back bump position and look forward to the U11Plus and the beauty coming in the solid compact 140mm Nokia 9 with a 5+ screen. Max screen and pocket friendly .. win win at last.

The curved displays are supposedly becuse the rounded-off corners increases the durability of the screen in case of drops. It's also quite stylish when all the other corners are rounded off in conjunction, but mostly it's for the more durable design.

Ironic when they design the phone with a glass read panel, I know, but it is what it is.

The aspect ratio is to make the phone easier to hold and handle with one hand, which a 4:3 screen certainly wouldn't be unless you make it a phone for ants. The 2:1 ratio is perfect, meaning you get a 16:9 screen even though you have navigation buttons at the bottom and status bar at the top. And full-screen viewing for movies. And excellent split-screen application.

If it comes with a headphone jack, I will buy it day of availability as an upgrade to my HTC 10. If not, I will hold off and wait for the new phones next year.

Anyway, i hate the stupid this bezelless and useless curved display trend fashion spreading like ebola. Even 16:9 and 18:9 ratio is stupid for mobiles or tablets. 4:3 format is the best for internet browsing and samsung tab s3 showed us this is real. The best design ever made on a smartphone is iphone 4/4s. Period. Now i like very much Sony Xperia XZ design with its thick bezels up and down and very square corners. I hate round corners.

Haters will still hate the device and say stuff like "HTC are too late to the game" even though Huawei's small bezel flagship only got unveiled recently and Apple's small bezel flagship still hasn't come of yet...smh.

This looks good, because it has straight corners which gives more screen space
