People know that Apple is one of the largest customer of Samsung.
It is quite possible Apple make excuse to get discount from Samsung on what has been ordered.

I have purchased a SGS2. This is a killer. Apple should not mess up with Samsung if they want to stay in the league. Or they can make their own parts for their products.

If Apple loses Samsung as a supplier, Apple will just go to an alternate supplier. Samsung is the biggest, but not the only one.
If Samsung loses Apple as a customer, they can't just go and say 'Hey you, be my new customer' to any random company.
So who stands more to lose? Think people.

a (not so) long time ago, the poster boy for sort of news was Billa gate's M$, but after 2006... the once good boy, fan fav Apple has progressively replaced IT to become the Poster boy over launching patent wars...
We see M$ slowly listen to its customers, open its vault of technology (ie. Kinect / winfone hack)
the once rebellion is now the EVIL empire... the once Empire is now slowly becoming the weaken republic....

just stop purchase apple products. now there are so many alternatives out there and many of them are excellent alternatives. SJ thinks everybody has to follow his terms because it seems everybody look-up to his creations. which is not true at all. many of us are getting androids and more androids. and samsung is one of the best android-based manufacturer and direct competition to SJ's stuffs. no, learn people. stop purchase apple products. you have more freedom to do the things you like on the things you buy rather than you are dictated to do things over the things you buy. so, learn people. learn.

I think apple wants their 5,7 billion back from sammy. This way, if apple sues all their suppliers the iPhone phone parts will be free for them.... hehehehehe....

Samsung are the last people Apple should be messing with, that's why Steve is settling the deal. I read like more than 80% of the components in iPhone and Ipad are components manufactured by Samsung Technologies.
