The profit stems from the semi conductor devision (half of the profit alone from there). Does that mean Samsung's smartphones are selling bad? No. They sell well but Samsung is lowering the prices of its devices so much due to the strong competition that profits from this business shrink.

Look at the organisation! They had all the problems in one year from Note 7, corruption charges, Mobility executive leaving, bad press etc...but runs like a well oiled machine without a sweat they posted massive increase in YoY profits. I just can't imagine any other organisation with similar issues coming out like this including Apple! Way to go Samsung!

The iPhone 7 is cheaper than the S8 while being faster, having 3D Touch and much more. The SE has so much value that I would say it is the best in its price category. I mean, where else do you get a high end phone which is faster than every mid range and low end android and has a better camera for € 280?
Don‘t mix it up. The real ones robbing people are Vivo, Oppo and such, which are selling an iPhone-lookalike with low end internals for high end price. I don‘t know why people don‘t hate against those manufacturers instead of Samsung and Apple

Best Display on any phone,
still use 3.5 mm jack,
have a SD Card,
touchwizz maybe heavier than some skins but it is by far the most feature rich there a reason why Android 7 and 8 using features touchwizz had for years,
Amazing camera's.
Well done Sammy you deserve this definetly alot more than Apple :D

A5 and A7 more than 600.

As long as there are sheeps, Samsung will keep on milking them. As long as Samsung continues their marketing strategy and keep living up to their name as King of Copycat and Gimmick, they will keep earning. Cheers!

No surprise, s8 and note 8 is good device, so people still consider them albeit the price
And in many place, j series is very popular budget device because of it availability

As a fan of HTC, Apple, Sony, Oneplus & ZTE... I have to say hats off and congrats to Samsung. They really killed the competition this year. Maybe next year they'll ease on the software even more (more stock look, less bixby)?
