Razer Phone: Is this actually the ultimate gaming phone?

My opinion about this phone and editors are one to one. I exactly express same problems as editor. I mean this phones does not have anything to offer than any other flagship phone to call itself gamers phone. Amoled is just have for gaming devices, providing future rich colours and contrast to even more improve feeling of nice graphics, this LCD if so stuff with 120hz not going to change anything better for you when perfect oled on 60. If someone has ps vita, they know what I mean. Plus no exclusives, no proprietary chipset to show advantage agaisnt competition. It just typical 2017 flagship phone with razor logo, which will be obliterated by next gen phone in you months time and by iPhone 8 and X duo. Move along guys, ignore this failure

Mobile gamers would feel bad spending a dollar for games after buying this phone/their phones for hundreds of dollars.

True. What's a gaming phone without a 3.5mm headphone jack. And if it's a gaming phone should have used the Nvidia chipset. Sd835 is to mainstream and can be found in other devices which makes other devices best gaming phones?. The price isn't helping razer either.

The reviewer doesn't like the looks of the Razer, but I think it's stunning. At the very least it doesn't look like everything else out there.

If your argument is looks alone, the OP5 and Sony devices aren't better. The OP5 is supposed to be an enthusiast phone but there is no storage expansion and quite average battery capacity. The OP5 actually looks older due to the home button which is a design that is several years old already.

The high frequency of refreshment is used to avoid ghosting and there are many variables about it. And yes, I consider that 64 GB is little space, the games should be in internal memory. And as time goes on, they tend to occupy more as the technology is more capable. Expandable memory should be dedicated only for additional content, such as videos, movies, etc. However thanks for the idea about wasting time. I will not lose it anymore with you. Bye.

120Hz adaptive sync display is a good addition but doesn't really make the phone a better gaming option in any meaningful way compared to other flagships. Razer should have included a flat gamepad (detachable or fixed) for it to be truly called a gaming phone.
As for Dolby Atmos speakers, its a pretty sweet bonus that they have included a front firing stereo Dolby speakers but I find it hard to believe that many people will use it for gaming. It seems speakers will be more useful when watching Youtube videos and listing music.
So all in all, not much incentive is there for people to go for this phone over the likes of Sony, Samsung and LG.

Your article should stress that this shouldn't reflect the thoughts of the team or the company. As a site read by many, there is a bit of responsibility. For the past years, reviewers have been preaching expensive, build quality such as glass/aluminum and most phones now have cases to cover it.
Reviewers also commend a dual camera setup where most implementations are poor except the one found in the Note 8 or Zenfone 3 zoom.
Razer could have easily went with a smaller bezel setup as the availability of the 18:9 are plenty and cheap. Going with such sacrifices the loud stereo speakers which could be used for many things including as a speaker phone. It is possible to implement 18:9 with stereo speakers but that would mean using the earpiece, top/bottom ends as the speakers which has less power and not directed to the user.
Most gaming laptops aren't that much different from the common laptop with decent graphics except for some better cooling, design(rGB lights), some variable refresh rate and/or faster refresh rate displays. Razer deserves to call this a gaming phone.
Regardless of marketing, this is a decent phone because they got the specs all correct except for the absence of the headphone jack. This is a bit more expensive than the OP5 but I'd pay for the faster display, loud stereo speakers, larger battery, and expandable storage.

It's just a Oneplus with boosted screen on the cost of battery. New speakers. So save the money and get the Oneplus instead. The 4k battery isn't any boost bc of the screen.

Dear People this is just prototype lets say.
First of razer phones.
I am big razer fan owning many their products and i am completely satisfied.
My first razer mouse lasted 12 years and could last much more if my GF did not accidentaly drop it on the floor and mouse buttons breaks.
But as i said this is first of many. (Lets say T-400 first terminator for gaming of course)
As i know razer company they will in upcoming devices do and again will do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING possible to make all people satisfied.
And in upcoming era Razer will dominate the mobile world with their ultimate phones.

And add that this phone only has 64 Gb. For a gamer how many AAA games can be stored in the fast internal memory? It should be 256 Gb to be called the ultimate gaming phone.
