HTC to launch dual-cam phones in 2018

It makes me think what are they going to do when they say that would also compete with Chinese phones.
We people in India are sick and tired of Chinese junk phones flooding in the country because the companies like HTC, Sony, Asus and others have been making their phones much pricier. For example, the HTC Desire 828 was 20k in India when it launched but similar specs Chinese phones were about 15k or less.
Currently also, if HTC uses its great technology in camera and boomsound and does other stuff right for a phone equivalant to Moto G5 plus, I would not mind paying 1k or 2k extra just because it would be HTC and I would trust the phone is going to last long.
The fact is that these companies do make great devices but they are very costly and that is where the Chinese sneak in and do their business. I would love to see HTC and others giving similar spec phones with their own technology on similar prices which is offered by Chinese companies.
Keeping my fingers crossed for 2018.

I would prefer dual front facing speakers. Audio I can hear from the phone when the room is not cilent is more important that dual cameras.

I really would prefer 3.5mm jack (as i assume a second camera would take around same space and pixels are already do portrat with one camera-which i expect them to get better with time, and i really do not like other means).

I have an idea of how to make it stand out. Go back to the aluminum unibody that was used in the past but sleek it up a bit by polishing the aluminum and round out the corners and edges instead of faceted, and give it a flat back panel so that it sits flat on a table without rocking back and forth.
