Despite shipping with an 18W charging block, an independent test confirmed it doesn't charge higher than 10.5W.

Sony Fanboy Bitches, 04 Nov 2017We shouldn't be charging our phones at that Watts anyway. ... moreYou must be joking right? 2h 30 min to fully charge when advertised as fast charging phone with 18w adapter, it just basically a lie. My S8 charger advertised as fast charge and fully charges phone 1h 30min from 0 to 100 percent, thats what you call fast charge, Pixel 2 is just a big joke from Google

Ain, 04 Nov 2017Your mind is what is hot to imagine 250º for no reason.I'm not pulling numbers out of thin air; I read the above article in question. The wattage graph also included temperature. The phone doesn't reach 250 degrees, but it's nearly there and obviously too hot to hold while charging- even when not I would not use a phone that could double as a hot plate. I learned the hard way with the LG G3.

Ain, 04 Nov 2017Your mind is what is hot to imagine 250º for no reason. Is that Kelvin?

Fast charging is fine if designed properly, and won't damage the phone as long as you use the right charger, and also avoid keeping your phone plugged in after reaching 100% (like plenty of people do when they plug in their phones at bedtime). But what LG did is clearly deceptive if they did this intentionally.

Some chargers like that on Samsung use higher voltage (like 9V at 2Amps ) but that usually produces a lot of heat. Others like Huawei and OnePlus use 5V but at a higher current (like 4.5 Amp) to also reduce heat.

Anyway, fast charging usually is up to 80 to 90%, after that charging slows down to "trickle charging" wherein lower current (Amps) to reduce stress on the battery.

With permission of the Apple swelled boom models. This is only a intentionally controlled and slower charge than expected looking the charger wattage.

Google has made a total mess of themselves this year. Pixel 1st gen was ok. Thought Pixel 2nd gen will be trendsetter but no. And taking full advantage of this situation is Apple. They are breaking all records of their success by providing people with jewellery.I wish well for Google and sincerely wish them a comeback other wise we are all run over by Apple. Google could have made a difference . Imagine a dream phone with display from Samsung , camera from a Google , audio from Htc or Lg , and software from google . Now that will be Apple killer. Google can do it through their Pixel theory. They came close this year but their greed for profit led to getting cheap lg screens.I wish them luck next time.

Another note 7 phone? I feel sorry for all the pixel owners, bc the phone shows more and more how horrible it is.

That's good actually. Fast charging is another scam. Not only they'll render your phone useless faster, but they also have this ridiculous excuse to put small batteries ("If you can charge it so fast why would you need a long-lasting battery anyway").
