iPhone 5 coming in September, iPad with Retina display and more

22 June, 2011
The Apple WWDC event came and passed this month without an iPhone announcement for the first time since they launched the original 2G in 2007. Speculations about the launch date of the iPhone 5 (or 4S)...

I wish apple to start producing mini ipad/iphone 5. I have owned IPAD but it to big to carry around. Hoping iphone 5 (to be a five inches mini ipad and a phone. I love the display in IPHONE 4 and the smooth tasking, but it's small and battery life is just murder.

I'm using since one year an android device (HTC Legend) but it has too many flaws and bugs. I'm tired to reboot it to regain its speed after having started several basic apps.
A friend has a 3Gs, same cpu speed (600MHz) and it is much faster and stable.
Today, as Android fan, I'm looking to buy an... iPhone, lol. Hope the ip5 will get a 4" screen, that's why I'm waiting; else I would have already got a ip4.

Apple's product launchings and announcements were postponed because Samsung won't provide them hardware until Apple withdraws lawsuits with Samsung on patents. Haha. ;)

AnonD-1227, 26 Jun 2011They didn't announce it because they are planning to make TVThe TV rumour is highly unlikely. An article I read stated that probably they mistook the Apple TV device as the source of the rumour. Basically, they mistook the Apple TV-HD, as Apple HDTV lol.

Premium manufacturer?? Say what!! Most of the time Apple just sticks the logo on the product and that's it. I'm glad Jobs thinks about us the poor people from developing countries who can't afford an overpriced device like the iphone (however I own an ipad which has a more reasonable price tag).

I think that google made misstake about android. Why would you give an OS to other manufactures instead of making your own phone. Even if it is about money you can sell more phones than sell licenses.
One phone one os. that's it.
                      That's why apple wins.
I have never own an iphone.
I own maybe the best looking android phone out there but that is a mess.
Maybe the next nexus 3 will be absolute phone but i don't know. I think i will buy iphone 5

It is beyond me why the software devs at LG/Samsung etc. feel they have to throw in their variation on the Android OS. Their launchers are usually more limited than what I can find on the Market, and offer little extra functionality. And they cause you to wait for your Android upgrade longer because it hasn't passed through your manufacturing company yet.

And the only reason for this, is company branding - nothing else.

Music industry people are making awesome things with iPhone and other iOS devices, things what i never could even imagine :) music industry loves iPhones and iPads.

Newest app FLstudio mobile, it came couple of days ago and it's awesome! And it's very handy for people who use computer version FLstudio, you can create your ideas in the buss, school or forest or where ever you are :) and you can continue that song with your pc version! How cool is that!

I was surprised how well that app is really working because of small mobile phone screen.

I mean in the tech world, 6 months is a long time to not at least surpass your closest competition."

Are you serious? what's point of that? more megapixels doesn't mean better images, there's no point to put 10mp camera on phone without excellent lens and optics.

1,4hz dual core? No need for that either, iPhone 4 is powerhouse, even 3gs (600mhz) is much better than how it looks on paper, it still run newest appstore games which is surprising. I'm sure there isn't any phone which came 2009 which still runs games like iPhone 3gs.

Apple's products always been very well optimized and balanced. Apple don't need to compete with numbers like others, they just show how well everything runs and users like that :) it's that simple :)

IF you havent noticed Apple doesn't marketing numbers. You can't find those ghz or memory numbers from apple official site: iphone tech specs section. It's the way how Apple do things.

I got my SGS2 in May this year (right at the end), and the i5/4S will come out at the end of the year in September. The way I see it, if the i5 does not have at least 1080p, 10mp camera and a 1.4hz dual core, its a technological fail by apple. I mean in the tech world, 6 months is a long time to not at least surpass your closest competition.

Secondly, I'll add, when I upgraded from my 3g to my 3gs, I was happy, it was a bit faster but it was pretty much the smae phone. Same settings, same apps, same everything (albums, music etc). So when i got my iP4, man it was still the same S***! Good s***, but the same! Know what i mean? i5 is just gonna be more app store, more iPhoto, more "settings" and more mail.

I moved on cause not only did I want the best, but I wanted something different and it has delivered beyond expectation. (not to mention the flash ability - hands down its so good for at least the next 2 years to have it, screen is truly beautiful, and android market is pretty good man!)
