nokia ceo has made it clear that he does not want this phone to succeed as they want the Windows phone 7 version to.. so price might be one of the methods.. with that being said.. i wont buy this phone for more than 500 even if i have to wait a year for it..

if those are the real prices, then nokia should simply not even bother releasing the phone... i owned the n900, loved it, but bought mine for $370 new... now, i own an Optimus 2X which i got for $400... while all these flashy shenanigans of n9 are pretty sweet, and i'd love to get rid of the useless android, i just can't see how in the world this phone can be $200 better than the Optimus X2.... n9 hardware (the guts) simply cannot compete with the other $600+ phones.... arm-8 cpu for Pete's sake...

I work for vodafone in Australia, I currently have SGS I and Android hasn't impressed me, it freezes, it has a number of limitations, you can't close or exit applications unless as easy as Symbian. When it comes to navigating the internet...it is better but...again...reception is crap, and when you loose reception the best way to go is turning it off, then it takes ages to restarts, Nokia handsets if you turn it off and back on...it is a lot faster. I have always been a nokia supporter, although in the past 2 ish years I have been disappointed. I hope they get back, to me iPhone is just entertainment, Android ...a mixture of useful things and entertainment but Nokia every single feature is meaningful..and that is what I like about it...I hope they resolve the issue of lagging and crashing ...that's all I wish!!!

Wait for the review and then we can judge. N9 is nothing in comparison with the N900 for when it comes to geeks, N9 is purely made for average joe and jane, simple yet powerful and flashy.

MeeGo Harmattan has three homescreens for ease of use. Instead of widgets you have full apps running real time in the multitasking pane. Much better and innovative if you ask me. Plus I have newsfeed of all my social networks a swipe away. N9 has built in facebook chats, clients etc. Best out of the box experience when it comes to simplkcity. IOS seems more complicated.
