Anonymous, 27 Jun 2011Still few, Nokia has billions of customers. Check the daily... moreYou are right about N9 having over 100,000 daily hits on GSMA but you are totally wrong about it having the highest number of comments on ENGADGET. Samsung Galaxy SII has close to 6,000 comments on ENGADGET and that's the highest i have seen so far on that site for a long long time, not even iphone 4 had that.

BTW, N9 is a very beautiful phone and well polished especially for the geeks BUT I HATE the homescreen of the phone

this price is also a little expensive, at least if nokia wants to beat the competition because by the time the phone comes out, SGS II and Sensation will be at most $600 or less

Nokia customers don't like Android or WP7. You have no idea how many girls love Nokia's Symbian and find it much easier to use than Android or WP7. MeeGo is the next best thing for Nokia.

I have posted this in other news and blog sections.. But for those u missed it and are interested I am posting it here again..

Okay, here is the thing.. I have calculated this
from Damian Dinnings reply in the nokia conversations.. He says that the
pixel size is 1.4 micro meter as opposed to 1.75 micrometer of N8..
              Here is the calculation:

              N8: Pixels - 4000 X 3000
              So sensor area = 4000 X 1.75 micro X 3000 X 1.75 micro
              = 36.75 mm^2
From wikipedia you can see that this is just a bit less than 1/1.8".. So that is 1/1.83" as we know it..

              Now, N9: Pixels - 3552 X 2448 (Full sensor size)
              So sensor area = 3552 X 1.4 micro X 2448 X 1.4 micro
              = 17 mm^2
From wikipedia, you can see that this is just less than 1/3".. So may be 1/3.02"

              There you have it folks..

So the sensor is actually quite smaller than N8's.. But the advanced
technology and f number of 2.2 should give it a nice boost.. But
shouldn't be enough to beat N8 though..

But this should be better than many of the other manufacturer's 8MP modules.. Even some digicams use 1/3" sensor.. Not bad at all.. But N8 is out of the reach of everybody, at least as of now..

The reception of N9 and MeeGo is GOD compared to WP7. Most are asking what the hell was Nokia thinking? Elop trojan horse theories are back. Engadget praised a Nokia, that's a definite sign for success.

Any more proof needed for you to understand that WP7 and Nokia is a bad move, or shall I mention the rise in shares with the N9?! It would suck if Nokia became an OEM and you seem to love that.

Ashura, 27 Jun 2011http://blog.gsmarena.com/nokia-will-not-return-to-meego-eve... moreThat article is misinterpreted. It was translated by a Finnish member at a forum, it clearly states that Nokia will not return to MeeGo as a primary OS, it will have more devices, but less than WP7, one device per year maybe. But if Elop gets sacked, there is the old plan back.

Symbian + s40 + MeeGo + OVI + Qt you can't beat that ecosystem and yeah MS is afraid, that's why they gave birth to a creature with a big head named Elop and send him to destroy a company which is the only one courageous enough to experiment and not follow a trend. N9 will be the new N95, and the positive reception is evidence for that. Wake up Nokia hater, you wouldn't have Android if it wasn't for them. Show some respect.
