LG for making a low grade product with a price tag that’s on par with significantly better phones.
Or
Google choosing LG to make the larger Pixel 2.

They may have not had a large hand in the nexus devices yet it was a program by google with oems. Also the first pixel did not have as many issues and that was their first phone arguably completely made/designed by google. And they charge top flagship price for the phone so they will be held to a higher standard than say Oneplus or even Lg with the G6.

I'm so glad now that I made the decision to get the first gen Pixel XL for £400 couple months ago.
The amount of problems the Pixel 2 XL has is just madness now! The Pixel 2 has a fee problems of it's own but nothing like the 2 XL.
Google rushed their hardware, with Pixel 2 XL, Apple rushed their software with the iPhone X, Samsung s8 is all around the more consistent performer ,the least amount of issues and right now the cheapest price and even better the note 8 is a no brainier as a substitute for Pixel 2 XL and iPhone X

Wonder what makes almost all OEMs think that they can charge top dollars for such devices? Quality control or testing seems a thing of the past as every manufacturer rushes their product (whether substantial upgrade or worthy successor or not) and we, as consumers now have almost become guinea pig for our own money!

With all these issues, would anyone even bother using this phone as their main phone?
Their time would be spent using a screw driver rather than making the phone a daily driver.
