It doesn't matter what Samsung and other phone companies out out. If it's not the Nexus line they will always have problem with the updates. Samsung has always had stability issue with freezing, bad web browsing experience along with other little things that just annoys the user. No thanks for me, I will wait for the Nexus 3 when it comes out.

But anyway, it doesn't matter what happened in the past. Currently Android is fast smooth and very usable unlike what competing OS users claim. This is my point. You think Maemo 5, iOS, MeeGo is better? I don't think so. It provides great user experience like the other OS available. In many ways it proves itself that it is the current leading OS.

Arc even if it has 1-2 second lead on the N900, my N900 is responsive and smooth while the page is still loading. Have fun waiting for it to load in Android.

Th... moreWhat makes a device bearable is not full page load time, but showing content and being responsive and super smooth while loading. N900, 2years old, using the full archaic CPU bound flash 9.4, offers that. So do the iphone 3gs, also at 600mhz and iphone 4 which is clocked at either 800mhz or 850mhz (compare the lag of arc at 1ghz). Imagine if n900 used the GPU optimized flash 10? You bought the GS2 even though you won't have any use of the dual cores. Please make a comparison with the N9 on smoothness and responsiveness when it comes out. Android has so many flaws, but people won't admit due to raw power available on the spec sheet.

Android finally is as smooth as Maemo 5 and iOS, way to go.

Directly comparing, N900 doesn't load pages faster than Arc. The zooming and scrolling isn't as smooth on Arc, but loading full pages faster is what makes the device more bearable when in use.
