Ritzie, 17 Nov 2017I don't get the dual colored camera setup to help with the ... moreThe camera here drops the resolution from 20mp to 5mp(I suppose) by combining 4 pixels into one,probably similar to what Nokia did with 808 pureview where the pureview mode actually gave 8mp instead of 42 mp photos by combining data from others.Still it's just my limited understanding.
Anyway kudos to one plus for actually trying something interesting instead of just following the leader.

LG V30: 16 Mpx, f1.6, Sony Exmor RS IMX 351, Pizel size: 1.0 µm, Sensor size: 1/3.06"
The pixel size of the LG V30 is a bit smaller 1.0 µm than the OP 5T 1.12 µm in the main camera (normal light conditions), although almost equal, and smaller in sensor size V30 1/3.06" < 5T 1/2.8", so their aren't equal. Respect to the secondary camera in low light the pixel size is the same 1.0 µm, but remember that OP 5T will use 4 pixels like one so theorically OP 5T should has 4x size 4.0µm... > V30 1.0 µm The sensor size still smaller in the LG V30 1/3.06" < 1/2.78" in the secondary OP 5T camera
We need to wait till the reviews and comparatives but I bet for the V30 in low light conditions with smaller pixel size and sensor size. Especially with maximum zoom. We'll see.

Anonymous, 17 Nov 2017s8 will become laggy in the next 6-8 months.Samsung phones are the only phones that allow you to disable any packages you want without rooting or losing warranty (via Knox used by apps like Package Disabler). I have disabled 180 packages on my S7 Edge and it flies, no lag whatsoever, and 2-day battery life.
Not to mention that the Galaxy S8 provides almost the best camera in the business, with large 1.4um pixels, OIS and dual-pixel instant autofocus.

Isn't that what the monochrome setup is for?
Removing the Bayer filter increases the amount of light absorbed by the sensor, right?

LG v30 have 1/3" sensor size, 1.1uM pixel size and f1.6 aperture.
One plus 5T have the same specs as V30 but without OIS,so it will be much worse than V30 result.
Price don't lie...

It evolved from OnePlus 5 to LTE B34. That's it!
It does not correspond to 4 × 4 MIMO, and it is not compatible with B 42 / B 43.
I do not think I want this phone.

By the way ... moreSamsung and HTC sensors not only have bigger pixel size plus have bigger sensors size plus OIS. They are superior. The V30 has smaller pixel size and smaller sensor size too, but their software plus the help of a good OIS give a better result than OnePlus phones too.
They should do a blind comparative between four or five phones, S8, V30, OP 5T, HTC 11 and perhaps one more with random order in each scene and then public the result...

Anything below 1.4uM is inadequate, no matter how bright the aperture is.
Take example LG V30 with f1.6 and 1.1uM, their photos comparison on the night shots are below HTC U11 and Samsung S8.
The latter, both using f1.7 and 1.4uM pixel size, altough different Sony sensor but HTC and Samsung opt for bigger pixel.
I just give you crucial hints to pick a smartphone camera...

...unless the specs are inaccurate

No TV is 2:1. No camera can record 2:1 except these phones.
Most of the content is made for TV.
LG G4 has bigger screen area than S8, it is also shorter.
