Snapdragon devices are limited only to 2 years of OS updates due to Qualcomm's limited 2 year support of the linux kernel version. The S6 is getting its 3rd OS update because it's powered by an Exynos SoC not Snapdragon.

LG should put the eyes on this, if that came true then i think V10 should receive Oreo too since V10 is years away from S6, is better than S6 in all aspects so LG wake up!!!!

If all V10 owners complain and say it to LG maybe we can have it too.

Okay that sounds nice at least on Samsung's part.
By that means, all SD810/808-powered flagships will also get the same update, given they're as powerful as the Exynos 7420 but even less thermal throttling.

                            This madness must stop!
Every manufacturer tries to stay as close as possible to stock Android anyway, so there is no need for every manufacturer to spend time and money making their own versions of Android to update, or most often never update! Every manufacturer must make Goggle responsible for and handle every updates from their, Google's, servers! If manufacturers still want to ad their own functionality or apps... then they should do that using the Play Store!
