It is a pitty, becaus I like my Note phone and Note tablet...

If s6 gets a proper oreo update and my s7 gets updated till android P, i wouldn't hesitate to buy another Samsung phone in future.

Obviously you are using you phone wrong or somethi... moreDear! i just have few apps including whatsapp Facebook and Skype in my cell but still same condition..recently i just removed black theme and started using default one, and after reboot i have 457 mb, i am totally disappointed, i was regular buyer of new model of Samsung till s6 but when i notice they just playing with us by updating 1Gb Ram but updated android version requires 2gb and so on.. i have stopped buying latest models. and this is why i am using s6 since july 2015

sweggitity, 24 Nov 2017in a simplier word... jellybean to kitkat to lollipop... wh... moreNo . Some other phones are stuck on 5.0 with bad ram management and battery drain. These are fixed on 5.1 .
So that little update is worth it and shows that sony cares about users unlike samsung left s4 and note 3 waiting on 5.0 with bad battery life and bad multitasking

Every one knows this version is buggy and most glitches are fixed in 5.1.
So that update is worth it and has to be mentiones

AnonD-718369, 25 Nov 2017android version 7.0 in s6 leaves 200mb free out of 3gb ram,... morecould be some apps draining your RAM while operating in the background. might be worth cleansing your phone and disabling/force stop preinstalled stuff that you dont find any use for. one thing i find which tend to eat an awful lot of ram is facebook and messenger. think there is a lite version for those; you could have a look at that.

I'm on the iPhone side now, but I had the S6 white in the past and I loved it even with the not so good battery life. It's a very good thing if Samsung will update the S6 to Oreo. Hope it will be common for Android flagships to support their flagships for more than two major updates.

Galaxy grand was confirmed got 4.3 but not happen until today lol
