03 July, 2011
Unless you were hanging out with the sherpas in the Himalayas you probably must have heard a lot about the Samsung Galaxy S II. To say it was well-received would be an understatement as almost everyone...

[deleted post]Nothing wrong with fantasizing, but its obvious iPhone sales are not driven by tech specs. Quite safe to say stellar sales of iPhone 5 when it launches.

Good to have strong SGS2 sales too tho, strong competition is always better for consumers.

AnonD-616, 04 Jul 2011all the eyes on nokia's first windows phone 7.5 mange . Go drown in your own tears. N8 sold 4 million units in 8 months. Galaxy S II sold 3 million in 55 days and it didn't even hit some of the countries yet.

WP7 is only in the interest of mobile phone enthusiasts. General public are hesitant to try new stuff. Slow sales mean slow third party support. Nokia WP7 line will take a while to catch up with the big OSs. In fact, Nokia will take a while to catch up with the new big guys in the industry.

AnonD-616, 04 Jul 2011all the eyes on nokia's first windows phone 7.5 mange . oh well, that does imply the current lineup of nokia is crap.

metal adds weight. subjected to daily wear n tear, it loses its shine soon and give a shabby look. platic on the otherside can be replaced fast. and the plastic on SGS is of a premium quality.

Nokia needs 680 mhz to record d1 videos, but still its a s!ht. shooting vids is the not the only job of a smart phone.

Hail to the king!... Too bad, I just can't afford one right now. But maybe by the time it's 1.4 Ghz version comes out, I can. And maybe, just maybe, Samsung will add more capacity to the battery and upgrade the build quality a bit, cos I think it would be a bit awkward to just overclocking the monster (since some people are also capable of doing just that). So, what do say Sammy?..

[deleted post]SGSII battery lasts me through the day, call quality is excellent, build quality is excellent. The added bonus is that my browsing experience is far superior on SGSII than any current Nokia devices, there are about few hundred times more apps for SGSII, and don't forget the fact that it's the most powerful mobile phone currently. This is all bonus that comes on top of what an N8 can do.

I don't understand people who are saying plastic body is a worse solution than metal body. Metal body gets scratches and dents easily and for phones like N8 can't replace any parts because it's unibody. And of course most people will most likely wrap their phones in a plastic casing not to mention added weight. "Bad build quality" would be phones falling apart after few days or weeks. Samsung phones do not "fall apart". Plastic bodies don't make products "bad quality". Things like slow as hell web browser makes phones "bad quality".

What's fail is your comment which you made without even seeing the SGSII in the first place.

I had a lot of phones including iPhone 3G, 3GS and 4, currently I use Galaxy S2 and is easily the best phone I ever had. Everything works great, fast, without lag ... It is already great out of a box.

Seems very obvious to me, there's plenty of space for competition which only benefits us all. Android is great. iOS is great. B
