I have a smartphone with an entry-level, always happy with my phone but sad when know this,
if it can't be updated should i buy a new phone with Go? maybe I will buy it but maybe still think again with my money, but i commend Google's strategy for low-end, Android is mobile phone with billions of people, such as also with Apple have billions people, well although the security and privacy issues on Android are constraints of all of it, hope Android Oreo version more secure.

Basically this create a new android category aka lite android. But Google need to define low end. How far is 'low end' in their perspective? Phone with 16gb internal and 2gb ram is still low end for me.

they are putting Android Go in low-powered phones, which means Samsung will bring out all the 1gb ram / 8gb rom $500 phone out in 2018. Google is not intending to install Go in old models.
