06 July, 2011
Microsoft is demanding Samsung to cash in $15 for every Android phone sold to date on the base of using several of Microsoft's patents in these devices. HTC was the first company to give in to Microsoft claims...

Samsung has nothing to lose anyway. They can just let the consumers pay for the charges demanded by Microsoft. The only pain here is that the amount required is far more expensive than with HTC. Five bucks is reasonable, knowing that Samsung manufactures millions of units throughout the world so that's a huge kick back to MS. Despite of this issue - we, Samsung Android users, are still willing to pay for any additional cost for every unit. :)

The one on Belle resembles Android more than it resembles Maemo. Belle is trying to make S^3 look like Android.

Symbian Belle's flip clock is inspired by HTC Sense. You see, even the author of the article below thinks that Belle is trying to make S^3 look like Android. Read the reader comments, they agree that it's an attempt to copy Android.

                            http://mynokiablog.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/symbian-belle-drop-down.jpg

Now let's compare the pull down notification of Belle with the one on Samsung Galaxy S running Froyo.
                            http://www.gsmarena.com/showpic.php3?sImg=reviewsimg/samsung-galaxy-ace-s5830/preview/sshots/gsmarena_003.jpg&idReview=558&idPage=3

Doesn't that look similar? The placement of the switches at the top of the notification tray, the placement of the 'Clear' button, and the implementation of the notification system is inspired by Android. You can't deny that Symbian Belle is inspired by Android.
