This is so annoying. They should check properly before the release and apart frm this the highly recommend. Now i feel like why i updated to oreo and emui 8

Hello Everyone , I have a huawei mate 9 version MHA-L29
I Moved to Oreo and EMUI 8.0.0 and i see that the quality on the selfie camera specially the brightness and details of the picture became less than before ...
If somone had the same problem or the update of ANDROID 8 and EMUI 8 make the camera with unsatisfated beauty algoritme

Have not received update yet in Australia. I was only wanting it for desktop mode but as that is not possible, not too fussed about it now.

I am in Nigeria (West Africa). I just received EMUI 8.0 and Android 8.0 update on my Mate 9 (MHA-L29). It took about 1 hour 10 minutes over GSM 4G data network. All my settings and data remained intact.

AnonD-734043, 30 Jan 2018The Update is rolling out in North America at this time .Yeah for Mate 9 only. I have aq Mate 9 Pro and the pro versions that were sold in the us market won't get the updates. Really sucks. Just had a long chat with Huawei customer service about it.

When it comes to Huawei handsets, it's either Chinese or international models. I also find it hard to believe that they won't update international variants as they announced that Mate 9 series and P10 will get a bit of AI with EMUI 8 (Oreo) update. But time will surely tell.

Bought a Mate 9 Pro from a dealer in Houston. Didn't know it was the international version. Sending it back because, after talking to people at Huawei using North American phone number, they say oreo and emui 8 will not be made available for international phones. In addition, I cannot find ANYONE selling the us version.

EMUI Desktop/Projection Mode was not part of the update since the usb type-c on Mate 9 is not mhl compatible. Buying an adapter (usb type-c to hdmi) will just be a waste of time and money since many of us from xda-developers tried that already.

wow, indeed if Huawei would continue the path they are going they would come to the first position very soon. They said it but I am now seeing the possibility of that. It seems so possible now.

November-update (B198) received in Finland this morning. No sign of Oreo yet.
