What about Mate 9 model MHA-L2AB? I bought it from Amazon.com in the U.S. There's still not an update???????? The last update was in April 2017 (and that had to be manually updated). This sucks. Never again a Huawei phone

I have mate 10, mate 10 pro and mate 9.
I can enter emui desktop on mate 10/mate pro with j5 create usb c to hdmi.
There is no way you can enter emui desktop mode on mate 9 with emui 8.
Dont waste your time..

Someone mentioned that mode would be only for Chinese units, but I'm not sure that's true. Well, I should be able to verify this on my own unit - when the update arrives.
