I am planning to buy a android.. I want to use USB host feature of Android.Can somebody suggest which phone support Android 2.3.4 or later.
They say that android versions prior to 2.3.4 do not support USB host directly , but there exists a way to achieve that.
If anybody has tried this earlier kindly share a link.

You certainly have not handled many Androids if you say the interface does not lag. It even lags on a dual core 1ghz out of the box (LGE Optimus 2x). Yes, the update made it better, but with live background it still isn't gone.
Second, Symbian was fine until a few years ago, at that time lag was not even part of the discussion as far as phones were concerned - it was about functionality, and Symbian had superior functionality back in the day.
About the level of replies... don't even start when you can't write "Seriously"

We upgraded both our SGS's to 2.3.3 way back in march, and I just upgraded to 2.3.4 JVP today. Faster, way better battery life and smooth, non jittery performance compared to 2.2. And themed to match SGSII without the price.

Newer version release by android does make yr phone newer again provided u know how. Else u can say this stuff. Android is an open source and development easily pump out better OS on already support handset unless yr handset is on older hardware which not meet the requirements. example like less than 800MHz CPU or less then 256MB ram.

Every phone lag every now and then, and yes, even the great iphone! Back to the topic, where is my gingerbread update samsung? My galaxy S needs this and hopefully they fix the gps also.

Fisrt : symbian isn't smooth on anything never was never will be even if it had a 20 core cpu at 50 ghz with 1gb of lw cache. Period. Its just crap for ever. Android runns smooth nomater the cpu and does so with all the eye candy and stuff running in the background. Ps. I'm writing this on my very crapy n97 which i will no doubt smash against the wall one day.arrrrrr!!!

I don't now why people are very funny. How can u compare meego to android. It makes no sence. Meego can't get the type of surport android get because it one (n9). And to say meego is better than android is like say meego is better than IOS. And to dose who say android lags, even laptop using duo core lag when u multitask it too much. So every operating system lag except it is us a very fast processor and that is wat android is doing. And thanks to android we would av still been stuck with 525hz processor and 64 mb ram crap dat nokia alway deliver on there phones.

fish, 09 Jul 2011fanboys should shut up.. your flagship, n8, only has camer... moreyou are right. android giving a lot of new vesion with also lot of poblem/bug. as like batter backup time. wi-fi connecting problem. and a lots offff. IOS is good. but not andro. i think googe are confused and they are trying to make a best os but still they are losser. nokia provide almost 7 year best smart. let see how much time google can give service about their smart phone.

Only problem with them is that they are not releasing newer versions slowly. Every month a new version comes up . And any phone u buyed previously will be old. Why google

Now rhe most popular are Android and iOS, but WP7 is almosst here and Blackberry OS is good for business and keep Online services and Symbian is good for beginners (ad Noki still use it).
