Anyway, android sucks, I bough a new phone and it says in the box that will be updated soon to gingerbread and i bet my money that when the update arrives is already another android version getting out of the door so, I bough a new phone as soon it hit the market and will be out of date forever, how cool is that? I just hope the community starts publishing some rooms soon because google+ manufacturers are just a bad deal

Manufactures just don't want to upgrade or support "older" devices, I'm talking about even devices as new as less than 1 year. They prefer pushing new device. Only a device from Google will always have the latest. Pathetic...

your flagship, n8, only has camera.. stuck with its ancient OS..
your next flagship, n9, won't have much update coz elop decided to use WP7, which is currently nothing compared to iOS or gingerbread (let alone ice cream sandwich)..

This post its made only for stimulating the sales of the newest phones on the market with the latest updates from android.Everithing its in the peoples mind.
And by the way,u will never see a new update for an old phone in the same time with a new arrival, this its pure marketing(simple and easy to do).

Gingerbread would be far more widespread if stupidmcoompanies weren't artificially limiting it to the latest devices only. 3/4 of existing Froyo based devices could easily operate with Gingerbread, yet they don't even want to release it to them just so they could sell more new phones because of that. Stupid, retarded and just makes everything worse instead of better.

It is rly pathetic to see that android is having problems in pushin out their latest os ver to smartphone manufacturers up to tis day... can't these manufacturers just use e latest yet stable ver 2.3.3 or 2.3.4... i.e LG's optimus black and optimus 2X. I wonder where Cupcake and Donut smartphones go. Do people throw them away or what? How come a lot of devices sold simply disappear from Google's radar? Not all of them can be updated to later versions.
